A well appointed property tastefully converted from an old post office building. Interior atrium was wonder for drinks from the lobby bar and breakfast. The breakfast was well done. Staff was awesome. Location is wonderful. We did not eat onsite so cannot comment on the restaurants in the hotel. A little pricey but worth it in our opinion.

A goldmine of Greek and Roman heritage, Siracusa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Necropolis of Pantalica in hills to the north-west.
Siracusa itself has a necropolis within the amazing Neapolis archaeological park, which also houses Roman amphitheatre and altar remains, as well as one of the largest Greek theatres ever built. Legend has it that the site includes the tomb of Archimedes, who was born here.
The ancient Greeks founded the city (also known as Syracuse) and Cicero even considered it the greatest of all. Columns from that period were used to build the Baroque cathedral, and the Fountain of Arethusa dates to the same era. Both are within Ortygia, a walled peninsula jutting into the turquoise Mediterranean Sea. Also here are ruins of the Roman temple of Apollo, and at the tip of the peninsula is the 13th-century Maniace Castle.
The fabulous Siracusa Archaeological Museum houses relics from all these periods, and is located by the Catacombs of Saint John. Opposite them both is the modern conical spire of the Madonna delle Lacrime Sanctuary church.
Aside from all this history, Siracusa also has plenty of pavement cafes and restaurants, and lovely sandy beaches overlooked by luxury hotels, cheap B&Bs and holiday homes available on Booking.com.

Ortigia Island is a beautiful place, lots of great architecture, very clean. Interesting sites to see and many boat trips available to take you around the island. There are other places of interest in Siracusa and public transport to take you other parts of Sicily. Many places to eat and if you don't mind walking other sites outside of Ortigia Island are within 30/40 minutes walking.

Visiting the archeological park is very nice, I recommend going early in the morning (8.30AM) before big tourist groups start arriving.
Ortigia is also a great place to go: besides sightseeing objects, I particularly recommend via Cavour with lovely small artisan shops.
A Putia near Fontana di Diana seemed to be a small diner appreciated both by locals and tourists. Good food, reasonable prices, ok service.

Ortigia is amazing, so much great food, and lovely to walk around. There isn't more than a day's worth of sight-seeing on the island, plus the Archaeological sites in Siracusa, but it is an excellent home base for day trips around south-east Sicily. And perfect for a relaxing holiday - coffee and a pastry in front of the duomo, a walk around the island and a little shopping (mostly touristy stuff unfortunately), and a gelato looking out over the water on the promenade. Very friendly people, lovely architecture and history around every corner, fantastic restaurants, and even in February, SUN!

Siracusa is a lovely city with a lot of history.
Siracusa is a lovely city with a lot of history. The old part of the city on Ortigia island is full of beautiful old buildings and archaeological sites.
There are many good restaurants and bars and by and large it is relatively cheap.
We rented a car; there are many worthwhile places to visit within an hours drive, including Etna. In the summer a car is essential if you want to get to the many beaches in Sicily

What a great city for a 4 day stay.
What a great city for a 4 day stay. We loved Ortigia, the Archamides outdoor interactive museum, etc. We also ventured off to Taormina and Isola Bella for the most beautiful views. Much prefer this city to Palermo which was dirty and congested.

Ortigia is very nice with beautiful architecture and I highly recommend a visit. The cathedral and the main square are wonderful!
The archeological park is worth a visit. The streets are not clean and parking there is a nightmare.
It has been one of the most perfect places I have ever booked. The hotel has superfriendly and helpful staff.
The Casale Milocca itself has a unique style, you feel yourself more in a fancy italian countyside villa than in an average hotel.
You can chill here, swim in the pool, enjoy the sun, do just nothing and enjoy the warm-hearted hospitality.
The sights of Sicily and the beach are easily reachable from Casale Milocca by car.
Thank for this great hotel and for this great staff for this awesome week! :)
Beautifully restored and decorated bed and breakfast in a perfect location to visit Syracuse and Ortigia. 10 min walk and you are at the crossing bridge to beautiful Ortigia. 10 min drive and you are at the archeological park. Stefania, owner of the bed and breakfast, is an amazing hostess, kind, helpful, and will serve you the most
wonderful pastries you could try in
Sicily either at the chic indoor dinning area or in the beautiful terrace. Free street parking is a plus! Looking forward to going back!
Rooms were big and very comfortable. One of the largest places we had during our 12 day trip in Sicily. Parking was super convenient as the host saved a spot for us on the street just in front f the apartment. About a 10 minute walk to the island of Ortiga where the grilled fish was the best we had in all of Sicily. Highly reccomend stpping for the guy yelling "Griglia" and coking squid/shrimp/octopus/etc right on the street. Elena helped us book a fantastic boat ride to see the caves.
Absolutely loved the Portobello apartment. Even though it’s not located in the heart of Ortigia, it’s so convenient to walk in just a few minutes with the added convenience of free street parking or paid lot parking nearby. The apartment is spacious and clean and well equipped. I could’ve lived there for months. The WiFi is some of the fasted we’ve seen in Sicily, or anywhere for that matter. Shower was super hot, bed was super comfortable, and two TVs!
Breakfast was very good , very rich . The location was good , walking distance to Ortigia. The rooms are very well designed and comfortable. The hotel and rooms were very clean. During one week in Sicily this is the best hotel which we have accommodated compare to Palermo and Taormina hotels which were at similar price levels . The hotel has very good fish restaurant bu the sea and in the center. Strongly recommended.” Onda Blue and Onda blue by sea”
We loved this beautiful apartment! We can only say positive things about our stay here during our time in Siracusa. the apartment is lovely, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very very clean. The host was fantastic, so attentive and kind, and he gave us lots of useful information about Siracusa, including places to eat/drink. It was a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely come back when we visit Sicily again.
This is a very nice place in Ortigia I can highly recommend. I had a very nice room with a private terrace overlooking the sea. It is the room 15. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was very nice with eggs, rolls, cheese, cereal and specialities from Sicily. It is a very good start if you want to explore the island. You can go directly from the airport in Catania. Dont miss it!
It was walkable to Ortigia Island and had free parking. The hostess was there the following morning and was very helpful and fluent in English, and provided us several brochures for various places in Sicily that we were planning to visit. It was an apartment with kitchen, dining, living area along with bedroom and bath. Gated courtyard was pretty.
very warm welcome, beautifully styled room with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed/bathroom. 10 min walk from the ancient Ortigia island in Siracusa so perfectly located. For the first time we had the impression that all the boxes were ticked. The best stay we had so far during our Sicily trip! highly recommended.
Stunning property in the heart of Ortigia. We felt like we were immersed in the day-to-day life of Siracusa. Sylvia, the host, was very attentive and responsive and she has created a very special accommodation, which was easily the best of the places we stayed during our stay in Sicily. We will definitely return.
It was the only accommodation in Sicily where we had a good night sleep in a comfortable bed (good quality mattress), in a quiet room, that could be darken enough. And breakfast was finally with non sugary options :) It was located only a short walk away to the Island of Ortigia, yet with free parking nearby.
best hotel in Sicily
everybody in the hotel want to make sure that you are happy and enjoying, very beautiful Spa
food are the best in Sicily also
you can only say wow
best breakfast also
shuttle bus to the city , reserve 5 stars and more
The owner is very friendly and helpful, as are the staff. She has good knowledge of the area including Siracusa and good local restaurants. She also speaks at least 3 languages, if not more! Best owner/host we met on our road trip in Sicily.
This was our last stay after 2 weeks in sicily. My only regret is that we left it for last. The staff was extremely helpful, the room spotless and the location perfect. We didn't experience this level of comfort even in 5 star hotels.
We had a very nice stay. Informative and helpful host, decent location and good value for money. Nice breakfast! (which speaking from experience varies a lot in Sicily and Italy in general). Would reccomend
Loved it here! Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old city. Breakfast was really so AMAZING!!! Our favourite for the whole trip to Sicily. Beautiful room and communal areas. Wonderful stay!
Best B&B i went in sicily out of the 4 I went.
Room was well designed and decorated.
Parking is not a problem. I found in front of the B&B at any time of day i went by car.
Best b&b in Sicily so far. Comfortable, clean and super convenient location. Delicious home made breakfast and the most passionate host you'll ever come across.
