It was a very moderately priced room, location very good, dining area okay, lounge nice, but the room was tiny. Bed hard, bathroom very basic. All in all, it was okay for two nights, and I understand that the price reflects the outcome.

Vlissingen is a beautiful little city that is great for a relaxing weekend or few days away from home. It is relatively quiet, but the restaurants and cafés make for a great ambiance. The beaches are a beautiful sight and great for a stroll or just to sit down on and watch the ships come by.
I would highly recommend going to SOIF for dinner or even just some drinks!

After 4 days in Amsterdam and 3 on The Hague we went south.
After 4 days in Amsterdam and 3 on The Hague we went south. Vlissingen in September was still very nice. We had warm days and rainy days but I was still nice. There are some lovely cafe/ restaurants in Bellamy Park where we ate often. Very reasonable and excellent food and service at SOIF. We rented ebikes in town from Willie and had an amazing time riding all over Walcheren, to Middleburg, Veere and all the way around stopping at beach cafes when we wanted. The 55km ride is easily done on an e bike and so worth it. Enjoy!

It is really easy to get around Vlissingen.
It is really easy to get around Vlissingen. Especially as there is a car park, where you can park the first 3 hours free and it is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre.
There are a lot of different shops in town, which are nice to explore. Very nice is a walk along the Boulevard, which is 1000 meters long with a lot of nice cafe's and Restaurant and a great view of large ships passing.
Along the harbour and town centre are many lovely locations to east.
We been most of the time in the Vishami Restaurant, because of the lovely fish dishes they serve.
From the Railway station there is also the Ferry located which brings you across the Westerschelde to Breskens, which is a very enjoyable trip.

Calm small town. Not much to do, but OK for chilling around.
Calm small town. Not much to do, but OK for chilling around. Beach was OK-ish, I would suggest different ones. We used the town as our hub of stay. So everyday we drove out around Zeeland (different towns).

Modern development has rather spoiled the sea front but there are still some beautiful 1920s villas to be seen and much older properties in the old part of town. The boulevard is long, tasteful and excellent for walking or cycling or just sitting at a cafe table watching the world go by. Lovely white sand beach with quite high dunes and interesting, busy shipping lanes to view with ships making their way to and from Antwerp and Ghent.
We don’t often get a chance to sleep on a boat so we booked a room for a night. We checked in at the hotel, everything went smooth, we had no trouble putting our bikes on board and finding our cabin. A lovely place to enjoy sun on the deck before returning to the hotel for our excellent evening meal. A very quiet night, we had no trouble sleeping and would return here if we are ever in this area.
What a nice hotel! Super stylish and modern. My family and I enjoyed every minute here. Good location, only a ten minutes walk to downtown Vlissingen. Parking lot right across the street for great price. Breakfast was amazing and offers a nice sea-view. Beautiful rooms. Staff is also very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
The location is great! behind the Vlissingen boulevard. We stayed in de simple room the location and breakfast make the price of the room. I am sure they have more luxury rooms but not for 60 Euro pp/ per night. Overall satisfied really enjoyed the stay in Vlissingen and Hotel Piccard.
We were given an upgrade. Able to park the motorbike in hotel car park for 12 euro 50. The restaurant staff were superb and very organised. Lovely terrace with great views. Dinner and breakfast were good quality and value. Room was spacious and had everything that we needed
Wonderful location and helpful host. The marina is in the center of Vlissingen, close to the beach and many restaurants and cafes. The vintage boat is beautifully and in summer a nice place to be. Overall, we loved it because of the romantic and adventurous nature.
staff were super
the location was perfect close to beach and old town
Parking can be difficult in Vlissingen but not at the hotel as there are many spots in the road free of charge
Hotel let us stay longer in the room
after the check out time so helpful
The situation of the house was perfect, on the main shopping street of Vlissingen.
The apartment very big, so lots of space, also if we had been four persons.
Very cosy rooms, well equipped kitchen, nice balcony to the garden side.
The hotel exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was dependable who was on duty that morning.
I hated the cold scrambled eggs! Most mornings.
But selection really good,
Only I would have very soft music on in the breakfast room!
The hosts are very kind people. The house, despite being a residential home is maintained like a high quality hotel. The location is excellent, the peace in the night, comfort during the day are all excellent.
The room with the bathroom is very clean. My mother and I have a good rest in this hotel. The distance to the train/bus/shops is not that far, every location can reach by walk.
