I loved this place.
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel had a basic but really nice friendly family feel to it and I would recommend it as a base to explore that part of Poland and Germany (10 minute drive). Huge airy rooms, superb bathroom (bigger than any I have seen in a hotel), great food and bar. Shops very close by, beautiful countryside; what more do you need?
Breakfast was lovely and more than I could eat, there was no feeling of having to be there for a set time so my stay was very relaxing. There is a restaurant for lunch and dinner and there are a few restaurants close by.
Language was no problem, some staff spoke excellent English and Google translate was easily used for the few times that we needed it. I didn't see a lift but there aren't many stairs and I'm sure that the staff would help if help were needed.

Taking into account this is a budget hotel, we were happy with the essentials, hot water, comfortable beds and very nice staff. The furniture and shower fittings are shabby but the room was clean snd the breakfast adequate for us

For 2 days I was hosted by Chojna in the Myśliborskie Lakeland. In Chojna, a peace was signed between the Poland Dutchy and the Marchia after the Battle of Cedynia (971), which Mieszko I fought for access to Wolin. One of the conditions of peace set by Emperor Otto I was to give his 12-year-old son Bolesław as a hostage. So Bolesław Chrobry, further Polish King grew up in Łeknica (today's Lõknitz next to Szczecin). Hence, he knew German fluently, which resulted in a later friendship with Otto III.
The beautiful reconstruction of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 14th century, and the impressive 12th century town hall. Chojna, like Myślibórz, was sold in 1402…. The Teutonic Knights.
The location of the Red Army cemetery is very interesting - next to the ruins of a Gothic church.
Very good "base" for cycling due to the well prepared bike routs or the out of service narrow-gauge railway. Myśliborkie Lakeland is full of historical sites from Medieval Ages.
