Fantastic location with beautiful landscaping. The vineyard is filled with wild flowers at this time of year and the walk down to the river to catch the boat was very special. Breakfast was very good - particularly the freshly squeezed orange juice (I'd guess from the estate) and the snack sandwich we had on arrival (roast beef) was AMAZING! Very helpful staff. I highly recommend.

Quinta Nova is an amazing experience and the location and views are outstanding, the staff were lovely, although language was sometimes a challenge, they may have been a little short staffed while we were there as we did have to wait a while when we ordered drinks a few times. The position and overall experience was wonderful.

But it does have several great wineries and a lot of opportunities for walking/hiking through the countryside. And it doesn't take long to drive to Pinhao and other towns within the Douro valley.
