Shiny Motel, hotel in Aberdeen

Located in Hoquiam, within 18 miles of Ocean City State Park and 20 miles of Chance A La Mer State Park, Shiny Motel provides accommodations with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking...

It was an older place, maybe late 1940’s but was well maintained. There were some good ornamentation: colorful plants, sculpture, painting in the room. The couple who owned the place were warm and friendly, eager to please.

Limited commercial food options above a 2.5.

Limited commercial food options above a 2.5. High priced food at best restaurants was no higher than 2.5 for overpriced food. City streets are confusing. Multiple confusing 1-way streets that don't get you where you want to go. About 4 cities with common street boundaries that don't advise the driver that they are changing cities. Pleasant environment.

Aberdeen is so much better to stay in than Ocean Shores!

Aberdeen is so much better to stay in than Ocean Shores! The food is much cheaper and to everyone's liking - the hotels are alot cheaper and its only 20 minutes to Ocean Shores to go play in the ocean! There are also alot more family fun in this sweet town.. All the one way streets are a bit odd to get through but designed for large volumes of traffic so it made sense.

Aberdeen is where you go to die or to find drugs.

Aberdeen is where you go to die or to find drugs. It is a small town with little to no retail options there is a Walmart and a Safeway and some other small places to get things but other than that it's just a stop for gas and snacks I wouldn't move here if you can help it and if you're looking for a place to stay and go the extra few miles and stay in ocean shores or Olympia don't bother with this town, it's really just not worth it,

It's a dying town with little to recommend it.

It's a dying town with little to recommend it. Despite my many trips here I have yet to find a single good place to eat or anything much to do. All you really need to know is that the largest building in town is a burned out hotel no one can afford to tear down.

I expected more, but got way less out of my very first experience of this town, from the locals going above and beyond over selling to get you to purchase more than you need to line their pockets, taking total advantage of the out of towner! I will not go back

Perfect stay. We stopped here in the way from ONP to Portland. The hotel was large and spacious. It was a small gym, pool, laundry facilities (pay in coins), free parking. The room was clean and super comfortable. It had an iron and hair dryer and coffee machine. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was friendly, the rooms looked just like the one that is pictured in the advertisement, and the travel lodge is only 5 minutes from the Kurt Cobain Memorial. This hotel was the perfect location for a quick trip to both Ocean Shores and Westport.

I grew up in Aberdeen not very far from the Olympic Inn. Yes, the neighborhood looks a little shabby, because Aberdeen isn't doing too well, but the Inn was clean and the bed was comfortable. That's all I expected.
