I booked the room for an individual who is homeless only to find out that she had been banned from staying there. When I tried to get a refund the person working registration threatened to call the police on me. So I was out 81$ for a room that was never stayed in.

The breakfast was good. The lobby looked nice. The room was smelly. It smelled like cigarettes, even though it was supposed to be no smoking carpet needs to be replaced. The bed was comfortable.
The pillows are amazing. The bed, ehh. I prefer a softer bed. But still you will get the best night sleep of your life. I love to relax in the tub and once you filled up the tub, it would immediately start draining. So I had to alternate between filling up the tub, draining it, filling it, and so forth.
This is our second stay at this hotel. A great hotel.

Athens was a neat little city.
Athens was a neat little city. It reminded of other smaller cities in the U S. There is a country feel to it. We especially liked the Mayfield Dairy Welcome Center. The shakes were really good and they had a gift shop.

I love going to the walking track and been out in the nature. But if you come to ATHENS TN you need to check out the back road first the beautiful landscape just driven down the back roads. But also, just don't stay in Athens go to Spring City go up the mountain and look at that site and then you must go to Dayton TN and go to the pocket and go swimming you'll be in love. Also need to go eat at

We were confirmed at the Super 8, but when we arrived we were moved to the Days Inn because the Super 8 was under construction. There was a worker in the parking lot brandishing a handgun. I could not get my AAA discount because I had to book through them, not booking.com. There was no breakfast nor was there any compensation for the lack of breakfast. I have now had the worst cup of coffee in my life in the lobby.

It's a budget location for exploring East Tennessee, the Cherokee National Forest, trails for walking, waterfalls and heritage locations. Cleveland is a larger nearby city for services that Athens lacks. Then there is Chatanooga not so far away with Ruby Falls and Rock City among other attractions.
The breakfast bar was exceptional! Very clean with a nice variety of food. Everything was delicious! Also enjoyed the exercise room and treadmill. Had filtered water and towels as well as a tv. (Only 1 channel, but it was on smooth jazz which is my favorite) Our room (120) was conveniently located on the ground floor near the front desk and breakfast bar. Overall our short stay was extremely nice and we look forward to staying at the Athens Hampton Inn whenever we're in the area.
I’m really picky on hotels and where my family stays. This one had all the good reviews in the area. The hotel and staff was nice. We stayed one night and everything in the room was clean and storage for clothing was minimal. I really liked the extra light in the bathroom to put my makeup on. We didn’t use the pool and breakfast was hot.
When I arrived at the hotel there was a sign on the door saying that the clerk was working cleaning rooms and room 110. The clerk was working two jobs and I feel that that was very unfair for her. She was not able to give the best service possible because of that fact.
Wonderful Location
Always a plus with a Cracker Barrel in front Hotel!!!
Very Clean, Smells Wonderful time you step in the lobby!
Staff Really Helpful and Very Nice!
If ever in the area I will stop in and Stay again, Thank you!
Nothing they allow you to make a reservation and don’t state anywhere that they require a $100 cash deposit till your checking in. I unfortunately didn’t have the money so I had to find a new hotel late at night with my 3yr old.
This is a great hotel to stay in if you are looking for a reasonable rate with great commodities. They have a really good hot breakfast and a amazing pool that is open late. The room was very nice with great beds and very clean
Good location just off 1-75. Room was small but worked ok. Very clean tidy room, hallways carpet looked great - plus the sheets were nice and fresh - towels fluffy. Better than most motel 6s!
Madison and BB went above and beyond. I've never had such wonderful service from hotel staff. They were both very friendly and helpful. Thank you ladies.
