Wonderful hotel off of the 395 in Bishop. Comfort Inn Bishop is in the perfect location - it’s not in the very center of town, so it’s quiet for a good night's rest. However, the hotel is close enough to the best restaurants (including Schat’s bakery) and major grocery stores (Vons, Smart & Final) to satisfy your most pressing needs.
First and foremost, this place is VERY clean. While the rooms aren’t huge, they are perfect for a 2-3 day stay. Beds were very comfortable. Our queen room had a nice little table with dining chairs, a flat screen TV with cable, mini fridge, and a microwave. There there were also plenty of hooks for hanging clothes and I appreciate how the floor was laminate wood, which made it less smelly and dirty in general.
The bathroom was also spotless (meaning free of mildew and mold). The bathroom sink is located the main room, which could pose a problem if you need to wash your hands at night and your roommates are light sleepers.
The walls are a little thin, so sounds from other rooms can be heard, but it’s not bad.Our neighbors were well behaved, so no problem with music/partying or any other disturbances.
The facilities are well stocked with washers/dryers and ice machines. Wifi works perfectly. There’s a pool and hot tub on site, but we didn’t use it so can’t speak to that detail.
The breakfast bar was stocked with fresh food and filled with all the essentials. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, but was definitely good enough for a quick and satisfying meal before hitting the road. Expect your typical eggs, bacon, oatmeal, hot coffee, fresh bread, yogurt etc. The dining area is nicely decorated and clean. There’s hot water, coffee, and tea available at all hours of the day,
Front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Room was nice for the price. I don't know if we got a deal that week because usually it's more I think, but this time we got it for the same price as the cheaper, less nice motel we usually stay at.

Lots of pine trees and old homes.
Lots of pine trees and old homes. Mountain Views Galore and amazing views of the Ancient Bristlecone Forest. Friendly people, lots of wildlife, and many roller coaster-like winding roadways especially route 168 which you have to journey through!
This is the second time we stayed at this motel. Good value for money, the guy at the front desk, was very polite and helpful. Really like this place over others because they're dog friendly and there is no extra charge (tired of being fleeced by other hotels for traveling with a dog). Will def stay again should we return to the Big Pine area. The washroom is rather huge so that's a plus too.
My flight into Las Vegas was delayed. As a result I did not arrive at the hotel until 2am. The proprietor of the hotel told me to call him when I arrived and he would meet me with my room key. Thank you for accommodating my late arrival.
This is a very nice hotel! The manager showed me round the room, and I felt very well welcomed. I arrived a little bit late. They called me prior to my arrival to let me know that I needed to buy food in Bishop.
