Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive! Only place we found for breakfast before my son's graduation and for biscuit and gravy that tasted like oil (my son said) and 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 toast and 1 can soda was $38..... This food was horrible for this price! The construction work on the highways and traffic, was the first time in 10 years since I've been up there and they were doing the same crap then, and I would not go back unless I absolutely have to!

Location was easy.
Location was easy. Spent 4.5 hours booking hotel and paying more than other hotel was and red roofs was extremely terrible conditions compared to cheaper hotel that was canceled prior, which was exceptionally frustrating! Also, 1 and only amenity requested, breakfast was not offered, wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee!

I wrote my review and sent you pictures of my room and the fluid on the chair. And you intentionally left that out of my review. You are deceiving your clients and basically putting them in danger. I wonder did someone report that same room to you before and you choose not to let people know how unsafe that nasty place is

For a city of this size the entertainment was very disappointing. There are one or two bars in the downtown area but overall its not a nice place to walk around after dark. Not much of interest to do and see apart from the Civil Rights route and related buildings which are by far the highlights of the city. If you are interested in sport, the wonderful Rickwood Field baseball stadium (the oldest standing ballpark in U.S.) is a real gem, just a few miles out of town.

I'm biased because I lived here for college, but there are local attractions live Vulcan the Iron Man are worth visiting over a few days. Five Points South is probably the hub of nightlife. UAB football isn't as big as Alabama or Auburn, but it's the south and well college football.
The condo was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The host, Charles, responded quickly to our request to stay and to any questions we had while we were there. The check in process was very smooth and there is ample parking in a lot right across the street. The location on historical Morris Avenue is great, and close to everything we needed downtown. We would definitely recommend this place to others looking to stay in downtown Birmingham!
my stupid bank blocked my card and I had no cash with me (it was a late night). the receptionist was so nice that he give me a key using only my passport as a deposit while I was trying to call to the worst bank in the world from 7 pm to 5 am (yes, it took 10 hours before I could talk with the bank representative).
also, the hotel is clean. one of the cleanest showers that I saw in this price category hotels
The kick-off dinner was much better than expected. While the rates were higher than I usually pay elsewhere I think the amenities and meals (Breakfast & Kick-Off) made the price tolerable. I think if rates were overall 10-15% less it would be more appropriate and arguably a better value for what is offered versus other hotel brands.
Staff was very friendly, professional and helpful from check-in to
We were headed North on a family vacation and Birmingham was our half way point so we decided to stop here. We liked the stay so much that we decided to stop again on our way home. It was very nice and the staff was very attentive and professional. I was also impressed with the breakfast selections. The hotel was very clean and interior is very elegant.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Parking was convenient, just outside the hotel. The location was co;convenient for our sightseeing in Birmingham. Nearby restaurants offered a wide selection of dining options.
(MCC) Weekend I didn't have to pay for parking, I could jus walk across the street to see the parade. Very close to restaurants, interstate, downtown perimeter. This hotel worked best for me for what I was in town visiting. I hope to get this location next year too.
I love the fact I was literally 10-15 mins away from downtown depending on the traffic. We was around stores and restaurants which was a awesome If you needed something late night! DO NOT EAT AT BURGER KING WHICH IS 3 MINS AWAY FROM HOTEL IT WAS TRASH!!!!
Claen, nice beds and friendly staff. Breakfast was not included but was a restaurant available in the hotel were a good breakfast was served. Perhaps a bit expensive but not too expensive, also here nice friendly staff
I liked how clean the rooms were. The sizing of the room was good for us but would definitely be too small for others. The location of the hotel was perfect for us as we were going to a concert downtown.
I only stayed for one night before flying out from Birmingham. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was lovely. Free shuttle to the airport which was VERY handy.
The room was spacious and colorful. this was one of the nicest " cheap" hotels off the highway. Beds and shower were good. Waffles and breakfast options. Not bad at all.
The building this hotel is in is stunning, very grand entrance and reception area. The room was a good size and very comfy bed. Coffee machine appreciated too.
One of the most unique hotels we’ve stayed in over the years! It makes me think of the French Quarter in New Orleans! Incredibly cute! Incredible staff!
