Overall, the room was very spacious and clean, and we were pleased with it. The staff seemed a little disorganized, but they were OK. Unfortunately, a kidnap website captured our initial payment and we had to call the credit card company to dispute it, but they still had a room available. This was fine.

I took my grandkids down so they could go on a cruise. Stayed 1 night but it was wonderful, except for the weather. Too windy & rainy, but we were able to get out & walk a little. The grandkids walked along the beach & gathered sea shells.

I love the small town feel with so much to do. Be careful where you stay. There are some good deals on hotels, but, check the reviews before you book your room.
There are so many beaches that you have good access to.
We are motorcycle riders. There is a really cool bar on the beach called Woody's. Great views, friendly bar tenders.
We ate at Doc Holiday's. The food was phenomenal. Try their pulled pork burger! You better be hungry.
There are a lot of cool places to party right across the street from the beach.

If you are staying at the hotel, wait until check-in to buy passes for attractions. Paid parking is not really worth it. Free Parking lot is literally a few steps away. Plan your experience to correspond with movie times. Shearns is awesome. Ashame you cannot check in until after 4.

Going to Galveston and getting to hit the Seawall/The Strand...
Going to Galveston and getting to hit the Seawall/The Strand is a delight, matters what the weather is doing. Always a fun place to gather, get sand in your toes, eat, and have good fun on the beach, or on Pleasure Pier, , and eating, and a little shopping!
The view of the ocean was great, and the location was good. Not as busy as the more touristy area to the east. Our room was very large, and spacious.
Breakfast included was super. Pretty busy at breakfast time, but we managed to have a table every day. There was a pair of people who I would consider to be food hoarders, which disturbed me a bit, because of the wastefulness of it. It costs the hotel money which eventually gets passed down to the more considerate people in the end.
The living room that is just so comfortable. This place is a home away from home. The decor, antiques and atmosphere are amazing. The beautiful front porch for morning coffee. Our first B&B experience after having stayed in some of the finest hotels. I am hooked and will be booking again for next stop in Galveston. I wish we could add all the pictures taken. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful experience.
What a stunningly beautiful place! from the entryway, front desk, cafe, and rooms we were blown away at this historic hotel! the high ceilings in the rooms were amazing and the bed was soooo comfortable! the food in the cafe was a BIG surprise. it was classy, delicious and served with kindness and a smile. we will only stay here from now on, when visiting Galveston!
We stay at The Inn at The Waterpark every time we visit Galveston. The staff have always been exceptional people. Very Friendly and helpful when needed. This time when we got back we realized we had left the window. Down in our car and nothing was missing and it did not appear that anyone had even tried bothering it. We had cameras ect in our car.
The hotel is very quiet and almost directly on the beach. The facility is very spacious and offers everything you need. We especially like to highlight the hospitality of April from the front desk. We had forgotten something in the hotel and April has answered immediately and even sent us the item by mail! thank you very much again for this!
The location of the hotel was great! We will definitely be staying here again for our next trip to Galveston! The breakfast was ok but the breakfast employees make it very awkward and some are very rude!! I found the rooms to be very cozy and homie feeling!! The front desk guy was very friendly and inviting!
Great location close to all the hot spots in Galveston, Dog friendly, nice pool area, staff was exceptional, rooms were very nice and super clean. Was a little worried bc most dog friendly hotels are either super expensive or not nice at all but the faculty was super nice. Well worth the cost
Everything was good ! Staff was so accommodating , rooms were clean and location is great ! Only down con I would say is the pool , pool is kinda small. Other than that it was an awesome stay ! Thanks Galveston Beach Hotel West staff ! Definitely staying there again when we come back !
We liked that it was close to everything that we had planned to do in Galveston. The hotel was easy to reach no matter where we went in town. Front desk staff was courteous and nice and was able to get us in our room quickly.
The location is beachfront but you still have to walk across the busy street to reach the beach just like all other Galveston hotels. The pool was also fine.
