I was not happy that the person who checked me in forgot to tell me that you must swipe your room key in the elevator to go to your floor. As a result I was stuck in the elevator and freaked out until the door finally opened and I realized I had to swipe the key. This is very important to tell hotel guests Prior to them using the elevator.

We spent two nights here and used it as a base to explore Santa Monica and L.A. - a bit off though but of course a lot cheaper than the hotels on the other side of the mountain. The general neighborhood of the hotel was okay, nothing special. We didn't have any time to test the pool unfortunately.

The room was fine. The price was really quite a lot considering how much the big hotels down by the airport charge (much less than this place), although there aren't a lot of options in Woodland Hills.

Woodland Hills is a lovely area near LA.
Woodland Hills is a lovely area near LA. It'll take roughly 25-45 minutes depending on traffic to reach most destinations around the property, but the trade-off is the nice, quiet neighborhood you're in. Located near a lot of wealthy communities, makes the stores, coffee shops and amenities around the house upscale, which is also nice.

There’s nothing I could post here that would be a complement to this hotel. In fact it’s really not the hotel it’s the people running it they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their guess they talk down to them like they’re asking for the world and they don’t even give you a bottle of water when you go down the next day to bring back up to your room. It was 105° outside and it was still hard to get anything out of the management or the clerks to get into the room they want everything to go to their
Restaurant. There’s no microwave in the room, there’s no real refrigerators in the room when you’re staying at all it’s just a little cooling box they have and you could probably put about three sodas in a couple of waters certainly not anything fatter or larger you cannot store leftovers at all from a restaurant stay. Very and accommodating the bed was probably the best part the rooms are very small, it’s better to stay in Las Vegas than this location

I booked two nights and was charged for two nights and I only stayed one night.
When I arrived the lady at the check-in said the area was experiencing an electrical blackout. No power for blocks. She wasn't able to check me in because of that issue.
I had to rent another room for more than what I had reserved this room.
I want a refund for the night I did not stay there, for no fault of mine or the 818 Hotel.

I was there for a life celebration for my deceased wife and really didn't have the inclination to run around town on this trip. However having lived Woodland Hills for over 40 years I can say that Woodland Hills is probably one of the nicest areas in Los Angeles. Not overcrowded and central to a lot of tourist attractions such as Disney land, the coastline and Ronald Reagan museum.
Location is perfect if you do not want to stay in the middle of Downtown or the more touristy area. You can park free, grocery shopping is close. There is a small pool and jacuzzi, vending machine with cold drinks. Wifi works well, staff is at hand if needed, check-in and out was a breeze. It was even in a better shape than the usual cheap hotels in the States.

These hotels are perfect for family, the rooms are great have a little kitchen with everything you need, Did have a big sized tv ( but stopped working for the first day). Dog friendly which is great too, the front desk staff are very polite & friendly the indoor pool was a nice bonus.
Location!! excelent restaurants near the hotel and a walking distance. Room is big, beds are comfortable as well as pillows, have a small refrigerator, microwave and a nice tv with plenty of cable channels, spacious bathroom with smooth towels.
New hotel, clean and quite room and has all the facilities. Did not expect a full kitchenette in the room, which was a big bonus. Included breakfast was very welcoming. Location is convenient as well, close to main roads and shopping.
Helped my cousin move from Long Beach to Woodland Hills. This hotel placed me a few minutes away from his new place. This hotel's existence was great for me.
