This downtown Jonquière bed and breakfast is just a 5-minute drive to Theatre la Rubrique Inc. It offers a full breakfast each morning and includes a mini-fridge in every room. Owner Normand offers a pick up service and it was great to see him at the VIA Rail station following the earlier snow. I stayed in the themed Egypte Room which was very comfortable with a smart bathroom. The Gite is within walking distance of microbreweries offering food and other restaurants all of which were busy on a Friday evening. Next morning the breakfast was plentiful, refreshing and really tasty - yoghurt with granola followed by a cheese and ham omelette with accompanying fruit and toast. Thanks Normand for a lovely stay, all too short and for taking me to the coach station in yet more snow.

Offering a panoramic view of the Saguenay Fjord, this motel is just 5 minutes’ drive from Chicoutimi and features a seasonal heated outdoor pool. A fridge is included in each guest room. The reception was really friendly , helpful and nice. The room was clean,well organized and have everything you needed. The late hours for the pool use were perfect to relax.
