The Merian Basel Hotel is located right on the river Rhine, in the heart of Basel, offering you charming rooms. This was one of our favourite hotels to go to with our children while we were in Europe for 3 weeks. Wish we stayed here longer. The room had a great view just to the side of the river and they have everything you need while traveling with 2 young children! Our kids loved the toys they had set up for them. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options!!

Located in the lively center of Kleinbasel, right at the Rhine River, East-West Riverside Hotel is just a short walk across the bridge from the Old Town of Basel and a 10-minute tram ride from the... The location of the hotel was awesome, right on the river and close to everything. In addition, there was an easy tram ride to the location from the Hauptbahnhof. The staff was very helpful in assisting with the tram and were amazing overall. I arrived on a Sunday when the regular staff is not there and those who were were AWESOME! They put me in my room early and provided me a coffee and croissant for the short period I waited for the room to be prepared. That worked great because it gave me some time to prepare for the rest of my day. The room was AMAZING! Very spacious and clean and just great looking. The bathroom was also fantastic! Big, with all new and updated ammenities. There was a fan in the room and plently of windows to let in frest air. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!

Some essentials were lacking, but the host promptly supplied them
