This 4-star beachfront hotel is situated just 10 minutes’ drive from Santa Marta city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers on the beach. The area is perfect and loved watching the sunset at night, I loved the prices of drinks and food, I loved the cats on the property, they were so fun and never aggressive, the cleanliness of the resort was great.

Set on Pozos Colorados Beach and featuring a seafront terrace and outdoor pool, GIO Hotel Tama Santa Marta is located between Simón Bolívar Airport and Santa Marta. Its rooms come with free Wi-Fi. We stayed in a private room which was great. Good value for money. Basic but has everything you need. It’s 20 min drive out of the main part of Santa Marta, but we stayed here for a night to be closer to the airport and we were impressed with the location. Right on the beach, and the restaurant is well priced and good food! Amazing sunset views from restaurant too.
