Room was very clean and staff very friendly, beautiful beach across the road, bus stop outside frequent service into centre 20 minutes 2€ Plenty of places to eat we had a beautiful curry at theIndian restaurant close to the hotel.

Mercure Marseille Centre Bompard La Corniche is located in a residential area in the heart of Marseille, a 15-minute walk from the beaches. The moment I walked into the hotel and reception area, I felt welcomed, and felt calm and at ease. Check-in was smooth and the lady was friendly and polite. They give you a map of the 7th area and beyond and explain about local attractions and buses etc - very nice touch. My room was wonderful: clean, spacious, well-designed with plenty of air flow due to two sliding doors. A muslin curtain plus the main heavy blue outer one to use at night. Although I kept the door slighty open during the night for air and the muslin curtain was useful to keep any bugs out! The bathroom was also very clean, and everything was in working order. Nuxe products were available, from shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (the honey smell was divine and will stay in my memory). This touch made my stay feel a little luxurious, but not OTT. Bed was a great size, super compfy and duvet was the ideal tog for this time of year. Bedding was once again spotless and clean. Plenty of lighting is in the room from bedside lights (X2 each side), a floor and a desk lamp. TV was a good size although I used my laptop most of the time. Large wardrobe with more than enough space, and I had a mini-fridge in my room. Perfect for my water, juice, fromage and yoghurts! There is a Nespresso coffee machine there for caffeine lovers. The breakfast was excellent and there was a wide range of foods: scrambled eggs with bacon and sausages, to tasty yogurts, fresh salami and hams, to cereals, pastries and fresh and dried fruits. I honestly could not fault this delightful hidden gem, and I will certainly be back. Must book soon! Thank you to each and every staff member, for making me feel more than welcomed :)

A big apartment with natural light and beautiful view. The kitchen was well equipped. The bus station in front of building or you can walk 20 minutes to city center. Secured parking in individual garage, in same building.

Chez Michel ligger i Marseille, 1,8 km fra Fausse Monnaie og 2 km fra Plage de Maldorme. Der er udsigt til den indre gårdhave. Richard & Kimberley are lovely hosts. Their 1st floor flat in an old monastery is set in a quiet, enclosed compound. They also live in the compound. Nice courtyard to sit in for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good location south of the Western side of the Old Port. Bit of a climb which might not suit all. Near some great bars and restaurants near Abbaye St Nicolas which have views out to sea - catch the sunset from there. Close to Fort St Nicolas, Jardin de Pharo and the Basilica Notre Dame de la Garde (Marseille's most visited attraction). Only 20 mins by foot to the top end of Corniche Kennedy (where most of the best Boullabaise restaurants are located) and good beaches - or take the 83 from the Old Port. It has a small kitchen so you can cook, but limited preparation areas. Dining table is in the bedroom.
