An amazing cave experience. The staff was fantastic! They offered us a delicious glass of red wine on arrival which was a lovely touch. We loved our room and the breakfast was delicious as well. Located in the heart of the cave district, this hotel had wonderful food and great hosts who made our stay so nice. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable.

Very big and comfortable room, the bed was huge and great for a restful sleep. The hotel is located at the top of the Sassi, the beautiful historical centre, making it really easy to reach the most beautiful landmarks of the town by foot. The staff are really really nice, everyone is so kind and helpful, particularly Rocco. Beautiful terrace with an amazing view, highly recommended for your breakfast in the morning if the weather permits it. I particularly loved that there are only 9 rooms, so your stay will feel even more premium.

Ideally located in the Sassi di Matera district of Matera, Cenobio Hotel & SPA Matera is set 800 metres from Convent of Sant' Agostino, 240 m from Matera Cathedral and 400 metres from MUSMA Museum. We loved our stay at Cenobio hotel. We were very well taken care of by Mario, who did his utmost to make sure our stay at Matera was the best it could be.
