The staff are exceptionally helpful. They provided a succinct travel guide within Matera and helped make reservation of transport. The terrace of the hotel provided an excellent panoramic view of Matera. Highly recommended.

Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Located in the heart of the cave district, this hotel had wonderful food and great hosts who made our stay so nice. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable.

Very big and comfortable room, the bed was huge and great for a restful sleep. The hotel is located at the top of the Sassi, the beautiful historical centre, making it really easy to reach the most beautiful landmarks of the town by foot. The staff are really really nice, everyone is so kind and helpful, particularly Rocco. Beautiful terrace with an amazing view, highly recommended for your breakfast in the morning if the weather permits it. I particularly loved that there are only 9 rooms, so your stay will feel even more premium.
