Nearby ski resort is excellent for learner / intermediate skiers, perhaps a little small for expert skiers. The hosts provide an on demand shuttle service to / from the ski resort. The igloo is very large and roomy and even with -10° C outside the heating facilities keeps the igloo cosy and warm. The self cooking occurs inside the igloo and was easy and delicious using an induction hob.

The unit offers 4 futons. TOTONOU Place is a recently renovated guest house in Asahikawa, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Uniquely local. We got to stay in a local, Hokkaido Japanese house. Very clean. Full kitchen. We picked up some breakfast items from a convenience.store nearby and cooked in the kitchen. We had a big triple room. We also had a long chat with the host. The house is very nicely, artistically decorated, Hokkaido style, reminding me of the frontier spirit back in wild Wyoming/Montana. The Budget rental car is just across the street, very convenient for us to pick up the rental car in the morning. Thank you, Chi, for taking care of us.
