Especially for visitors who might be interested in learning about the lives of coastal Kenyans - this is an amazing opportunity to have a peek into their lives in a uniquelly authentic way. Here, you will have an experience that no hotel will provide. If you stick around at the camp during the day, they will pamper you with fresh coconuts, show you how to prepare cashews, take you canoeing to Mida (Captain Daniel is a great guide, unlike some other "guides" you will find on the coast, he actually posesses an abundance of knowlege and has great spirit - he is so fun to be around!), and show you how to make local food. A special shout-out to the ladies - their cooking is amazing! Definitely join their cooking classes or, if you are more into eating, they will make you a great supper with fresh local ingredients. This is a growing organization - for now they can provide only the essentials of facilities, but the prices are adjusted accordingly. Even if you decide to spend your nights elsewhere, be sure to visit the camp and ask about the activities they provide. You will not be disapointed - Harrison with his team will make sure to exceed your expectations. A big thank you to the whole team - we will not forget you!

This tent's special feature is the pool with a view. Providing free toiletries and bathrobes, this tent includes a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and slippers. Loved the fact that it was so exclusive, and how the owner / manager was so involved and accessible.

This tent features a private entrance. Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers er staðsett við Kilifi Creek, aðeins 3 km fyrir utan bæinn og er umkringt samfélagsskógi. Out of everywhere in the world, this was my favorite hostel ever! Meant to stay 4 nights and stayed 2 weeks and didn’t want to leave. The property is HUGE and so beautiful. They were constantly cleaning and all the facilities were well maintained. The staff, especially Beth, Brian and George were incredible. There’s hostel pets we fell in love with as well. Can cook there too! Just beware monkeys will enter the dorm rooms constantly! So don’t bring food in there. Couldn’t recommend enough.
