De Mountain View Safari Lodge biedt accommodatie met een tuin, een balkon en uitzicht op het zwembad. Wat een fantastische plek! Tussen de giraffen, zebra’s antilopen die ook geregeld een kijkje komen nemen op een paar met van de tent vandaan! Back to basic maar toch niet helemaal met zo’n fantastische tent waarin je niets ontbreekt! En het dompelbad was een zeer aangename toevoeging!

This tent features a tea/coffee maker, private entrance and seating area. This hotel is a sight to be seen. I felt like I was staying in a multi-thousand dollar-a-night hotel within the game reserve. The decorations, the size of the room, the bed, the cotton sheets, and the view of monkeys and other animals outside my sliding glass door. The amenities provided in the rooms made you never want to leave. I have had coffee in the morning on my private balcony in my bathrobe after my wonderful hot shower in the luxurious bathroom. At night we sat by the pool drinking wine after our dinner. This exceptional hotel is the best-valued hotel I have ever visited.

I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

Built on an elevated riverbank, these luxury, canvas tent suites are set on stilted wooden decks. Everything. What an experience this has been! The property is located inside Kapama Private Game Reserve, just a 20-30 minutes ride from the airport (which started well - on our way, we saw quite a few animals, including a beautiful resting lion). The staff is wonderful - so friendly and helpful, they really do go an extra mile to make your stay as memorable as possible. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The game drives leave you speechless. This was our third safari - and definitely it had been the best one! And we were genuinely surprised by the quality and diversity of food and drinks - menu changes every day, everything is very fresh and tasty, with a great selection of alcohol and wines. When we checked out, wonderful Claire asked us if we were said - when we said of course, she replied that it’s the goal to never want you to leave and to look forward to coming back! And we already are!
