The location in a tiny village of about 100 people was perfect - just beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and dinner the evening before was exceptional.

This place is an old 3 story house, but don’t let that turn you away. The house is excellent. The breakfast is soooo tasty. Tasty fresh eggs, and great full English breakfast. Best we have had so far on our tour of England. The rooms are cozy, the king bed was the most comfortable bed we have had so far. The shower had good pressure, and was steaming hot. The towels are large, thick and fluffy. Only a 12 minute walk to the city walls, it was great to get our ‘’steps’’ in. 🙂. The owner/manager was very accomodating and friendly. We parked on-site. A bit of a squeeze, but no complaints. The room we had was a king supreme room on the top floor. It was super quiet, and we had the best sleep so far on our road trip.

They were very accommodating when we requested an early arrival. They use refillable bottles and jars for drinks, milk, and bathroom toiletries, which is great for the environment, reducing plastic waste. A small fridge was in the room for us to use. It contained milk and drinking water.

Located 44 km from Alnwick Castle, 50 km from St James' Park and 22 km from Wallington, Butterchurn Guest House features accommodation set in Otterburn. Stayed for two nights as had a wedding nearby - staff were excellent and catered to our every need, perfect set up for us as we were travelling with a toddler, room was spacious and had everything, and had a lovely living space we could relax once baby was asleep, breakfast was also great- everything you could want! Would recommend!

Offering a garden and garden view, Westlea Guest House is situated in Alnmouth, 400 metres from Alnmouth Beach and 8.4 km from Alnwick Castle. Staff was friendly. Location was fantastic. We stayed in Room 8 which had a spectacular view and a window that popped out into a mini balcony. Food was delicious. Wifi worked great and I was actually able to do video calls and work without issue. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend staying here!

Exceptional passionate host and a very warm welcome. Sarah really made us feel comfortable. Very big and comfy bed. Good choice of breakfast. The place is quiet at night and very close to the city.
