We stayed in a private room with connected bathroom and it was much bigger than we were expecting. Probably just a bit bigger than a standard hotel room but for the price I was really surprised to have so much space and a nice bathroom. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with plenty of street parking, and the grounds were lush with grass and flowers when we visited in spring. We had a late check in and the keys were waiting for us in an envelope at the reception area so it was super easy to check in, and there's a key drop box so check out is easy as well. We didn't have a chance to use the kitchen but the facilities looked nice.

This busy, well-run, lake front hostel is 1km from the nearest store, so a clear view of the milky way can be seen with the naked eye.
