My bed was sooo comfortable & has a privacy curtain! It has a beautiful backyard where one could chill, read a book, eat a meal! The kitchen, dining area, lounge area & solarium are all very clean, spacious & perfect view of the wharf!

Just a short walk to the beach, Old Bones Lodge is located in Oamaru. The accommodation offers a spa and wellness centre, library and terrace. Free WiFi access is available. The views from the common room were amazing and the fire place created a comfy atmosphere. My only regret is that we did not stay an extra night. Hope to be back one day!

It’s well maintained and so cosy with a nice kitchen and living room area along with the garden! It was close to the town center and parking was plenty on the street. Plus, I met great people there! Such a nice atmosphere that you can expect ever!

Communal sitting area comfortable with lots of sofas and tv. Kitchen was so well equipped and liked the dining area. Good communal bathrooms. Enjoyed meeting other travellers. Bedrooms are basic but that’s ok and for the price were great value. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the back verandah which has a lovely view. I would stay here again which says it all really.

Situated in the North Catlins, Surat Bay Lodge offers friendly private and dormitory rooms with free WiFi. We had a 270 degree view of the bay from our corner room! Very friendly helpful owner. Very well equipped shared kitchen. Only a few rooms in the hotel so it was very quaint. Nice sitting area with a sun room. Clean bathrooms.
