Timbermiller's is a quaint mill worker's cottage in the historic timbermill village of Nyamup, nestled in beautiful state forest bushland. A short 15min drive from both Manjimup and Quinninup in the Southern Forests region, it is the perfect place to rest after exploring the surrounding food and wine regions. Wake up to the sound of native birds as the sunlight streams through your bedroom window. Then soak up the peaceful sounds of the bush on the veranda with a glass of wine as the sun goes down and the resident roo families come out. The cottage has retained most of its rugged original character with polished jarrah floorboards, casement windows and a woodburning stove. It has recently been spruced up and a number of modern amenities added for your comfort. Build a fire and snuggle up by the wood heater after strolling through the surrounding bush. Unplug and unwind with a boardgame or a good book. Come relax and reconnect with your loved ones at Timbermiller’s in the bush. The cottage still runs on its rainwater tank supply and is filtered. You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels as these are not provided. Electric blankets are provided.

Built during the rise of the southwest timber industry in the 1930s, Timbermiller's is one of a number of cottages that once made up a bustling milling community, but is now part of the quiet Nyamup Holiday Village. Glimpses into the old way of life can still be found as you wander along the Wilgarup River and bush tracks – please take care around the old disused mill buildings. Phone signal can be patchy in the village if you are not with Telstra, but is a great excuse to completely switch off from the everyday hustle and bustle. Danny our caretaker is on site for any needs you may have. We recommend you stock up on food supplies and firewood from one of the many local produce stalls and stores on your meandering journey south from Perth. Manjimup is the nearest town with a number of great niche stores and dining options, including Tall Timbers brewery and Southern Roasters Co. Just over 10mins away is the beautiful Karri Lake trail and Quininup pub, with a number of wineries, regional produce, and southwest attractions further afield in the Southern Forests region.
