Highlights: - Along the waterside on the banks of the river Leie - Amazing view on water & nature reserve - 10 minutes from the heart of the city but green environment - A permanent feeling of being on vacation in a real house - this is not a permanent vacation rental! - 3 cool bedrooms (1 on main floor, 2 in basement) - Kayak & SUPboard available at the house - Grand piano - 2 parkings - Super-equipped kitchen - Sports & citybeach facilities at 2 minutes: Blaarmeersen In this house the living room & kitchen are on the first floor, as to profit the most from the amazing view over the water & nature. This house sets itsself apart because it isn't your typical, permanent vacation house but instead it is our own home that we rent out for some periods a year. This element is something that you'll feel in every little detail, which makes it a whole different experience. Infact, I dare to say that once you arrive, you might not want to leave and this house will immediatly feel like a second home to you...
I'm an experienced host & I'm generally available to do a personal check-in and give some pointers about the house. If your arrival time doesn't match with my availability, I'm always available to pass by later. I've been living in Gent for 22 years so I can give you all the info's you need, not only about the house but also the neighberhood, Gent in general. I'll be glad to tell you about all the best spots!
The most desired neighborhood of Gent: Only 10 minutes from the very heart of the city but surrounded by green, on the road to St-Martens-Latem. With the "Blaarmeersen" site only 3 minutes from the house, you have immediate access to all sports imaginable and you can start your morning run from the little gate in the garden and run alongside the water for miles... If the kayaks at the house don't suffice for you, there are kayak & boat rentals just nearby. Last but not least: The property is only 10 minutes by foot from the St-Pieters-Station (or a 10 EUR taxi ride).
