I am an ex fisherman & now stay home to care for my wife. Our children have flown the nest so the upstairs bedrooms are now an apartment & have become our way of meeting lots of interesting people from all around the world.,so between Caravaning, gardening a good book and a good whiskey & enjoying our grandchildren, we feel very lucky to live in such a lovely place as Shetland. we hope we can make your stay here comfortable and enjoyable and I know Shetland will do the rest.

Our Accommodation is a first-floor self-contained apartment comprising of, double/ family bedroom containing 2 double beds. There is a small kitchen & lounge with double sofa bed, TV, USB sockets & free wifi. Highchair and travel cot available. Shower room with toilet & basin., drying/laundry room with washer/dryer. Also a spacious rear garden with clothesline.also decking and barbecue area. Off road parking available.Arrival pack, (tea/coffee milk bread. butter, marmalade & cereal ). The space The upper section of our house is a self-contained apartment with all amenities to afford you a peaceful, comfortable stay.Small kitchen with induction hob & cooker hood, microwave with grill, slow cooker multi cooker. 46-inch tv with freesat channels. also, children can enjoy the rear garden with decking, sandpit & swing.we also have chickens and ducks which they are welcome to feed. Hamnavoe is a small fishing village on the island of Burra and is connected to the mainland by a road-bridge. We are 4 miles from Scalloway, 11 miles from Lerwick, on regular bus routes and also local taxis nearby. There is a pier a small boat Marina and Village shop. Various events are held here throughout the year, particularly during the Summer months. Such as Sunday teas in the village hall, a rowing regatta, fishing competition and Up Helly Aa festivals. Also, two beaches with Lovely coastal & walks nearby.
