We are a family run business. Pam and Alan first moved to Mexico in 2000 to open their own children's refuge, and have given a home to over 250 of Mexico's most vulnerable children. We opened the doors of Mision Surf in 2018 to spread the message of love, life and surf to our local community of Villa del Sol. We have have a limited team made up of some of our former Mision Mexico youth and international staff & volunteers. We are a self-service style space so be sure to have your own peace and quiet with access to all our amenities.

Enjoy our untouched beaches, and uncrowded waves, right in front of our property. Misión Surf was born out of Misión México Foundation's passion for the ocean. Thanks to Steven Marks and GYG, we purchased a land bed built in a haven by the waves. With the help of the local community and Alan's own hands, we built our big orange Not-For-Profit hotel and Surf school. It was developed with the aim to showcase our beautiful natural resources and our rich culture. We have since hosted community classes, surf workshops, yoga retreats and we even care for animals. With six beautifully decorated rooms, our Family Suites, Private Doubles, Private Twins, and 4 Person Dorm Rooms, we've got something to suit every traveller! We are a self-service, hostel style space so be sure to have peace and quiet! As a surf school we offer surf lessons with one of our experienced surf instructors, or surfboard hire if you're a surfer already! Misión Surf is a place for you to relax and enjoy the local surf culture while supporting us on our mission to give love, life and hope. Your stay will directly support the work we are doing with the youth of Mision Mexico Foundations and our wider communities.

Based in a small local community, we have ocean waves and long beaches just in front of our property. A 15 minute walk away, you'll find local food palapas with plenty of fresh coconuts and seafood. A short tricycle ride away, you'll be in the bigger town of Puerto Madero which has many more restaurants, beach walks and local shops. You can also find the beaches of Playa Linda which is a short combi ride away. Here there are pretty beach palapas with swimming pools and some of the best seafood around! Enjoy your days here with a corona in hand. 30 minutes away is the city of Tapachula. In our wider areas, you can climb Central America's 2nd tallest volcano, Volcan Tocana, visit local waterfalls, coffee plantations, hike mountain trails and visit famous towns like San Cristobal and Union Juarez. We are very close to Guatemala's border, making Mision Surf a great stop for your travels!
