Mike was a great guide, the view of the volcano from the room was amazing. The facilities are a bit rustic, but the food and the hospitality are incredible! We would definitely come back

The property was beautiful. You’re surrounded by lush trees and plants as well as fun chickens and little pigs running around. You also cannot beat the view of Mount Yasur (volcano), especially at night. It was very easy to communicate with Mike and his family throughout our stay and they were very welcoming. Through the accommodation, my husband and I did a cultural tour at the Iatapo village, relaxed at a white sand beach, went to hot springs, and of course, went on an evening volcano tour.

This is a perfect spot for those who are going to Yasur volcano. The bungalow is located up on the hill, and we could see and hear the volcano at night. Very exciting! Getting there was also great experience for us as we were driving through the jungles. Early in the morning, Mike took us to the volcano so we could see it at night and at sunrise. That was amazing!

The tree house is really beautiful and has a fully functional toilet. The view of the volcano is lovely and you can watch it glow at night. Mike and his family were very kind and helpful. I had a wonderful time taking a scenic walk through the jungle to get to the volcano entrance.

Mike and his family were so amazing and accommodating! Mike made organising transportation from the airport to accomodation stress-free! We only stayed one night and wish we had stayed longer!! View was incredible and it was such a privilege to have the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place! Staying at the Castle treehouse and bungalow was a truely unforgettable experience! Things to keep in mind; We booked a 7am flight home and due to the long transfer from the accomodation to the airport it meant we had to be up at 4am- I recommend trying to book the later flight! The accomodation is via a long 4WD access trail if you get car/ motion sick come prepared! Bring cash! ATMs are hard to come by! You’ll need enough cash for accomodation, tours, transfers and meals

Information moving was little difficult before we came, but everything was working. Familiy was very friendly. Very close to volcano and very good view. Transfer worked (took over 2 hours!). Once in a lifetime experience to stay in the tree house.

The location is amazing! You hear the Volcano and can see the glow at night! We had the opportunity to sleep in the bungalow with a direct view to the Volcano from the bed, the tree house was also amazing with a nice breeze at night PLUS there is a toilet at the top! Really cool and handy at night. From the village we could see the river and dense forest, Mike, family is really welcoming and they will always ensure you are happy and enjoy your stay. Sam was driving us up and down to town and the Volcano, he is a very skilled driver!! Lena and her daughters cooked dinner and ensured we felt comfortable at all times. I will definitely recommend Castle tree house to anyone that wants to experience the village life. We stayed for three nights and highly enjoyed it. TIP: We were not sure if we could get to the Volcano entrance by foot. But you definitely can, it takes about 1h.15min (15 min drive)
