Salisbury Cathedral is 32 km from the inn and Salisbury Train Station is 32 km away. The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.
