There are 2 walking routes to the castle.
There are 2 walking routes to the castle. One is more steep which is at the bottom of the castle's hill and is marked by a mini tower, the other one is a more gradual slop by Sabrina's Kitchen. Use the multi storey car park above the fire station...it's only 8 euros for 24 hours, nice wide spaces so no dents in car doors! River front car parks are about 1.8 euros an hour, with max stays of 2 to 4 hours! Don't need more than an overnight stay here - It's too far to use as a basecamp to take journeys out from if you want to visit other towns along the river...best to book a string of 1 night hotels along your route.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom

The hotel is in 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants, shops, supermarket, river cruise, etc. The hotel has parking on site (in the back). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and other amenities were good as advertised here. Breakfast was good. Definitely recommend, thank you.

Our room also had a nice view of the Cochem castle. Excellent breakfast, and all items were freshly prepared. Parking is close by and reasonably priced. And above all a VERY friendly and helpful staff. We had forgotten something in our room at checkout. After one phone call, the item was promptly found and sent to us in the mail!!
