Oceanogràfic
It turns out that you don’t need to anger Don Corleone to sleep with the fishes. This enormous aquarium runs “Sleep with the Sharks” nights, where you can snooze while surrounded by these beasts. If you’re that way inclined, of course. Otherwise, you might want to plump for a wander round the tanks or a meal in the underwater restaurant. Surely that’s an offer you can’t refuse?

This is the largest aquarium in Europe and has each type of ocean life displayed with fantastic walk through tunnels and wrap around tanks. We arrived at 11:30 and stayed to 18:00 which tells you the sheer size of the place. Our only dissapointment was the Dolphins which gave a very limited display ( This may not be the Aquarium but the restrictions now placed on such shows as no jumping through hoops or a football match like we have seen in States).

Expensive to get it but well worth it as long as make sure you leave yourselves plenty of time to get around everything as there is so much to see. Why not make a day of it and take your own lunch to eat outside, when the weather is nice, before you get into the aquarium

The structures are well designed and the subterranean passage under the aquarium is fascinating. All very interesting, the walruses, the sea lions, the dolphins, the sharks and more. The shows in the movie theater, together with a host of special effects make for a unique experience. The drawback is that when it rains, the building leaks like a sieve. Something else that could be improved is the signage within the grounds, it's difficult to navigate there with the signs they have.

This aquarium definitely fell short of expectation.
This aquarium definitely fell short of expectation. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, home of the Academy of Sciences and the Monterrey Bay Aquarium - two world-renown destinations and science centers. Oceanografic was very touristy and worse yet, they have a Beluga whale family in a small, cold tank which was the biggest turn-off. Also, they have dolphin shows which I am against. I wouldn't step foot into this venue again. GO TO THE Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe instead! It's wonderful!

Loved visiting here, was the highlight to our trip. The animals are so well looked after; I'm normally very cautious about these kind of parks but this was lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit.

A bit over-hyped, a bit expensive, kind of dirty food places. Just another one of those big aquariums and dolphinariums without personal touch. No animal interaction areas. Kind of bland. Nothing special.
Very crowded.
Strange underground thematic aquarium areas that are not connected.
If you REALLY need to see a beluga or walrus, go. Otherwise, maybe not.
Yawn.

the view from the window, of the palm trees and the fountain below, gorgeous, the harbor and the beach 5-10 minutes on foot, shops and bus stops nearby, 20 minutes by bus to the center, 18 minutes on foot to Oceanografic and the 2 Malls nearby, and I received an extra free breakfast
All was great. Breakfast was nice, and the staff was super friendly, especially to kids. You know kids love it when someone gives them attention, and that's what these people are doing.
Rooms are clean, and the location is amazing if you are visiting Museo Oceanografico, which is a 7-minute walk from the hotel.
I stayed at Apartamento Valencia Centro in September 2023 for 4 nights as a solo traveler. The location was ideal for walking to everything on my to do list to see and took a taxi to L'Oceanogràfic. The lovely host, Gabriela, was so helpful and secured a taxi for my departure on my last day to the airport. The apartment was comfy and met all my needs perfectly.
We booked a room with a balcony with a side view of the beach. The room was spotless and tidy, and the hotel staff was amiable and helpful. The hotel location was easily accessible from the bus stop, and buses frequently traveled from the nearby bus stops to the city center and the L'Oceanogràfic museum (which is considered a major city attraction for tourists). A restaurant infront of the hotel serves delicious continental breakfast in the morning, offering a great view of the sea and the beach.
The location is great because it's so close to L'Oceanogràfic, to the Palau des Arts, to the City of Arts and Sciences and to Turia Park. It's also not very far from the beach. It only takes one bus ride to get to the city center. Not super convenient for Feria Valencia, but otherwise it's great.
Nice view (stayed on 8th floor), spacious comfortable room.
Close to the City of arts and sciences, the Oceanografic de Valencia and the Turia garden (the large park that runs in the old river bed).
Very nicely decorated, the walk-in shower is superb and they had our room ready way before the actual check-in time. It's very close the city's main attraction the Oceanografic and Museum of Sciences.
We stayed the one night. A brilliant location to access L'Oceanografic and very handy access to restaurants. The room was very comfortable. Very safe carpark which was important as we are travelling by car with a roofbox and bikes. Staff were wonderful.
