Depending on how you time it...this is a VERY short trip. You can't walk through the main part of the temple, but there are some nice views and paths around it that make it worth the visit. The topography leads for some nice views around the bay. You don't need more than 1-2 hours there.

When your done go back to the mai highway turn left and you will see the sign for Aegeon Hotel go down the hill and have dinner on the beach there are two locations both are great. You will get to see the temple from your table all lot up in the evening its incredible.

The position of the hotel is super, on a nice little beach with the Temple of Poseidon in clear site on the hill above. ... However, the architect didn’t make the most of the location!!

Breakfast was fantastic. The best of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip to Greece. Location was amazing, with beautiful views of the Cape and being able to stroll to the Temple of Poseidon in a few minutes.

We decided to spend our last few days in Greece away from the bustle of Athens and booked Helen's to be close to the Temple of Poseidon. The property exceeded our expectations and was perfectly located close to a beach, the temple, and other beautiful sights along the coastline. The host greeted us upon arrival and was so friendly and welcoming. He responded immediately to any inquiries we had and ensured that we had a great stay!

Location is good. View is awesome. Hotel is beautiful with view of the Temple of Poseidon day and night, as well as the sea. Breakfast is good. The staff member who handled our room problems was courteous and effective. Private beach area is lovely.

The staff were absolutely excellent—the best! Warm and gracious, and so very helpful. We were particularly touched that they had set up a dinner table for us that had a straight-on view of the Temple of Poseidon, all lit up at night. We will always remember that dinner. The hotel, although sorely in need of renovation, has an unbeatable location—on a sandy beach right under the hill on which the Temple of Poseidon is located.

Perfect location to visit the Temple of Poseidon Stayed here just one night. Nice hotel, but could use some sprucing up. Good dinner at the restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Weather too cool and windy for the beach, but it looked very pretty.

Sandra’s and Simos’s property rates an unequivocal 10/10! The handsomely appointed unit was spotless, well-provisioned, and amenities-rich (from the high-quality appliances, including a dishwasher, to remote controlled awnings). It includes a wood-burning fireplace, which makes it a year-round destination. The draws are Harakas Beach, which is a 5’ ride by car, and the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion a few miles further. We’ll be back! The fine property and the kind hosts are strongly recommended!

Great one night stay before our flight out. We were able to easily get to the Temple of Poseidon and go for a swim the next morning before our flight. Apartment was impeccably clean and check in was super easy.
