The view was nice but the nearby Elephant Mountain (Xiangshan) was a way better experience and much nicer view. If you are in the Taipei 101, take the effort and climb the mountain. You wont' regret it. Or if you don't have enough time to do both, I'd recommend the Mountain!

The view from the summit is impressive but not that great. I only recommend the visit for the one interested in the ingineering (big sphere at the top). If you want a nice view on the city, go to Elephant mountain!

Taipei 101 was great, but one thing I'd keep in mind is the line situation. Since the elevators are so small, you will need to wait in a pretty long line to go up as well as go down. If you need to get somewhere quickly after going, you'll want to account for the time it takes to wait in line.

A very typical shopping mall with many luxurious shops.
A very typical shopping mall with many luxurious shops. The view of the observation deck pretty much depends on the weather and your photography technique. The ticket is not cheap at all. The footbridge 5 minutes away from the 101 tower is an excellent location to take photos of the tower as well as the light trials.

As an architect, interesting.
As an architect, interesting. However, for all visitors, the area around Taipei 101 is amazing and offers unique type of outdoor seating themed restaurants while enjoying the people moving about the place, taking selfies, eating and drinking and shopping.

A bit foggy due to rain, when we went there as such we didn't get to see the observatory.
But after waiting for an hour or so - you can see outside clearing up which is nice !
There's also a foodcourt downstairs that offers different food !

The location was excellent. Walking distance to train station, Taipei 101 and Sun Yat Sen Memorial plus surrounded with good places, malls and resto to eat. The room was large, spacious and complete with oven, microwave and fridge (plus with complentary beverages). The staff were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our family was very satisfied with the hotel service so we hope they will keep this up. Thank you for making our hotel stay so enjoyable!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I stayed in multiple hotels in Taipei. This is the one. Great bed, good-quality sheets, comfortable pillows, high ceilings, nice tub, nice shower.
I loved the room. It had all the niceties (switches near the bed to open/close blinds) while also taking care of the basics. Compliemntary mini bar and snacks. Lovely views of the park and Taipei 101.
If you're considering the Grand Hyatt, choose this hotel instead (unless you want the pool).
The hotel location is superb, it is next to Citylink and the MRT station. Very convenient to catch MRT to see firework at Taipei 101.
The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed are spacious, too. Staffs are helpful and polite, they stood at every corner and outside the lifts to help us.
The location of the hotel is very ideal if you are heading to the main attractions around the city. It was very close to Taipei City Hall, Taipei 101, and Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Raohe Night Market is just a few bus stops away from the hotel.
We have stayed at the hotel for 7 days and they have provided excellent service to us. Our room is very clean and daily maintained by the courteous staffs.
If you are going to the Taipei 101 area (for business or whatever), the hotel is a very reasonably priced option. The room was small but fine. Everything was clean and modern. A very good place to sleep and recharge. I liked the breakfast - they tried to show some local foods, but there was a bit of Western food too. (Not a huge variety but decent.) The hotel is close to Taipei 101 and a metro station.
Location was amazing- it has a ramp that connects directly to Taipei 101. Best breakfast buffet of all the hotels on our trip! Our room had a view of Taipei 101 which was unique. Staff can speak English well.
Very quiet despite construction next to hotel. Staff and service were excellent. Actually very conveniently located despite first appearances; it is equidistant and an easy walk to GongGuan or Taipei 101 areas, walkable to Sogo, and also easy to get to the MRT. Definitely would return; had a lovely stay.
It's situated near the places of interest for us. 5 minutes walk from the hostel is the Tamsui–Xinyi line (Red line) - same line as Taipei Main Station, Shilin, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Taipei 101–World Trade Center - which is very convenient for us. The place is surrounded too with places to eat and there is a Family Mart on the same building as the hostel. Hostel is very economical and the facilities are clean.
Location is great for those who likes to shop. It is located next to several department stores and not far from Taipei 101. Very close Subway Station. Staffs were very helpful. The hotel room is also large enough for a family of 3. Breakfast is great. Many choice and good taste in our opinion.
Our room was quiet and clean with a window view of Taipei 101, room has 2 large beds comfortable for 4 adults, but overall room size is a bit on the small side, this is typical of hotel with this price range. Daily breakfast in the hallway offers limited selections of toasts, jams, butter, fruits, and porridge. Hotel location is very central to everything, MRT is just outside the building and it will take you wherever you need to go around Taipei. Lots of shopping, restaurants within walking distance.
