We (two families with small children) really enjoyed our stay in Plankenstein. The rooms are basic but clean and practical and we got extra space and beds for the kids. The views were spectacular. The children loved exploring the indoor and outdoor area and where allowed to do so by the very friendly staff. Especially the people from the tavern were exceptionally friendly and patient with the children. The food in the tavern (Austrian food) was very good and plenty and the breakfast buffet had a good selection and was satisfactory. The outdoor space is worth exploring and very creative and the children liked the little playground behind the castle. It was easy to find the castle and good parking inside the premises. But be aware that you will have to climb a lot of stairs when planning your trip and size of the luggage.

The apartment is exceptional and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed. The location is pastoral and includes a wonderful farm, a pool and even a playground. Perfect enjoyable vacation. Very charming hotel in the countryside. I also ordered dinner and it was really very tasty. Soup, main course and desert. Family hotel, beautiful and clean room. There are plenty of opportunities for walks in the area and especially for children to enjoy it here I was here on business, but I'd like to come back
