The owners were the absolute best. They went above and beyond to make sure our large group was taken care of. They even mailed us some ski clothing we had left behind. The rooms were comfortable and I really appreciated their efforts to help us disconnect and enjoy the space. The location was stunning! We went in January and the hills were beautiful but I could see how it would equally gorgeous in the summer months.

This hotel was a last minute find for me - I was touring, in rain on my motorcycle and had had enough for the day. A quick check on booking.com found this little gem, just 6 miles from where I was. And what an excellent find. From the minute I arrived I was welcomed warmly by Matius and Sabrina (I think?) who were super friendly and could not do enough to accommodate my every need. For example, finding me an alternative place to eat my evening meal so I could avoid the smoke drifting in from the outside terrace - just one of those things that couldn't be helped, but it made a difference to me so their actions in dealing with it for me was very much appreciated. The hotel has undergone significant renovations over the past couple of years and to an excellent standard - the outside, which is traditional in structure, belies what is inside which is a wonderful surprise to walk into. I was so comfortable at this hotel and had such a good night's sleep, that I stayed another night and took advantage of the lovely area and nearby forests to have a break from riding and to go for a walk instead. My visit was mid-week so the hotel was not at full capacity and it was peaceful. However, I was told that the weekend before, there had been 53 pilgrims staying who were making the walk from Vienna to Mariazell - a popular route for them. As a solo traveller, had I been there the same weekend, I am sure I would have had a completely different and interesting experience!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We chose a suite and were surprised by the size of it. It had a coffee maker and a small fridge which were perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was great. There was a tub but we didn't use it during our stay. There was a nice porch out front where we sat to enjoy the spring sunshine. Breakfast was a feast with items and coffee made to order as well as a large layout of food to chose from in the buffet. We ate dinner in the evening and everything was fresh and made to order. It was so good we were even tempted by dessert. We enjoyed being in a family run establishment which made us feel like welcome guests.

This boutique hotel has just reopened after a beautifully done refurbishment. The interiors make you feel in a real Austrian fairytale. The style is a mix between a wooden chalet and a more glamorous trendy Hotel. The Terrace is an oasis of peace and relaxation while the food and drinks are beyond expectation, everything is so tasty, well presented, homemade with love. Breakfast is WOW! We are going to miss it everyday. The service is warm and caring. This place entered in our heart and we can’t wait to be back! Thanks for such a beautiful stay. After a long difficult time caused by the pandemic this was a bright new start. Grazie mille

Hotel zum Heiligen Geist er staðsett í miðbæ Mariazell, aðeins 30 metrum frá Bürgeralpe-kláfferjunni og 500 metrum frá basilíkunni. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar. It is a great hotel in a perfect location, clean, nice furniture, comfortable bed. Very good size room and bathroom.

Mönichwalderhof er á fallegum stað í Mönichwald í austurhluta Styria. Það býður upp á heilsulindarsvæði með innisundlaug og stóran garð með barnaleiksvæði. We stayed in one of the new rooms. The room was very big, big bathroom, big balcony, modern with very comfortable beds and sofa. Food was delicious. Dog friendly hotel. We especially enjoyed the late check out (we left about 4pm). I also enjoyed the facial treatment and pedicure with Mrs. Rita and the massage with Mrs. Verena (not sure if spelled correctly). Great place to chill out.

Hotel Onkel Fritz er í 3 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá miðbæ Spital am Semmering og 800 metra frá Stuhleck-skíða- og göngusvæðinu. Wonderful place, with friendly hosts and amazing breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the suits. Sauna is also available after skiing. The nearest parking for the slopes is really close to the location. Overall I would recommend it to everyone planning to stay for a few days for skiing, hiking etc. Breakfast is exceptional, and we also appreciated the aim for low waste and environmental friendly accomodation.
