Located in the center of Kuchl, the garni hotel Wagnermigl is right on the Tauernradweg (bicycle trail) and 12 mi south of Salzburg. The garden includes a sun terrace and a children’s playground. Nothing less then a 10 for this hotel. The owner/host was really attentive to all the guests. She explained the various options for sights to see or bonuses to get with the card you are given when you arrive. The hotel gives you a local public transport card, that you can even use to go to Salzburg and back for free. We stayed two nights and every day we received an ice cold bottle of sparkling water. Even when we were out, and left a "do not disturb" sign on the door to save the staff the trouble of cleaning the room, the water was left next to the door. The hotel had a modern lift and the overall styling of the hotel was quite eye-catching. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. When checking out the host gave us a couple of goodbye presents and wished us safe travels. One of the best experiences as far as hotels go.

Located at the entrance to Bad Vigaun, 9.3 mi from Salzburg, Hotel Langwies features a spa area and a bathing pond. The room design, the view from windows, the balcony which was divided in two (1 for the cold season, 1 for the warm season), the wellness area, the restaurant, the fact that wherever you went, there were pots filled with apples, full of taste and you could serve yourself at any time. The kids play ground. The nice/warm rest area at the reception. Everything in this hotel is thought out to the smallest detail. Behind the hotel is a train station and we had a connection to Salzburg every half hour. At the reception we received free tickets for public transport for the 3 days, for the whole family (2 adults+2 kids). We were completely pampered at this hotel. I definitely recommend it.

Located in the center of Russbach, Hotel Kerschbaumer is just 1312 feet from the cable car into the Dachstein-West Ski Area. It features a sauna and a fossil exhibition. Clean rooms, very welcoming staff and they have a good restaurant with traditional food.

Dating from 1592, this traditional hotel is located in the pedestrian zone of Abtenau, 1640 feet from the ski area. The Goldener Stern offers rooms with free WiFi access and free parking. grate place all new and clean, staff are super nice from hotel manager to desk. highly recommended.
