Without a doubt this was the most amazing place we stayed in our entire trip to Austria. The employees are pleasant, kind and ready to help in everything. The room is large, spacious, decorated and equipped. The food at breakfast was above and beyond any expectation, so much variety, you could even order an egg according to your preference (scrambled, eye). Of course, the location of the hotel is breathtaking, among all the vineyards and nature, the silence and beauty do not leave much room for words. We loved everything and would stay there even more!

Perfect central location in the Wachau
Wosendorf is a tiny town with not a whole lot going on in it, especially in the low season. However, it is perfectly located less than 20 minutes from Durnstein, Krems and Melk and centrally located near all the sites in the Wachau.

Don't skip it on your way to Vienna
Really enjoyed our visit to the Wachau valley, just a one day stop between Salzburg and Vienna, we visited Mauthausen, very sobering but important to remember, Melk Abbey. And climbed to the fortress above Durnstein, we visited a WineStube in the town, too, very fun and enjoyed choosing a variety of wines. More time to visit other fortresses and abbeys, to bike the valley would have been spectacular. And taste more great wines!

Lovely village in the Wachau region. We particularly enjoyed the "Heurige" - Weinbau Kronberger just next to the church. Spitz ist just a couple of kilometres down the road where you can pick up the Danube boats for a leisurely trip either up the river (to Melk) or down (to Krems). We will be back!

Perfect location to explore the Wachau area. Good restaurants and plenty of wine tasting locations we didn't even have the time to get to. The white wine in this area is wonderful. Very close to Durnstein, Krems, Melk. Biking is wonderful with well designated paths everywhere.

As the name suggests, Blick ueber Krems is part of a house perched on the hill right above the historic centre of Krems. From the private terrace, the view over Krems, the Danube river and the Goettweig closter opposite the valley is spectacular. One can spend hours just enjoying the view, and/or take it as an invitation to discover all that this part of Austria has to offer (Krems historic centre, Goettweig closter, Melk closter, Arstetten Castle, the Wachau, etc...). Only to return to a perfectly well appointed apartment.

Hotel Pension Gritsch was a good place to stay for few days, when we discovered Wachau valley. Hotel located in the middle between two historical cities Melk and Dürnstein. So, we could reach both. Clean room equipped with small refrigerator. Nights are cool and air conditioner not needed. This romantic area is absolutely quiet and clean. In the hotel there is a restaurant and vinery nearby.For good breakfast paid separately € 15 per person, was good.Free parking and free Wi-Fi. Very good place for romantic time for couples.
