Great location minutes away from the main square and within the old town. We took a quick taxi from where the bus dropped us off on the edge of the town. The hotel is very clean and breakfast is delicious and has variety. Very helpful staff who helped us with all our questions about tours/etc. There is no elevator but the staff helped with luggage. Value for price you pay is great compared to other places in Bolivia.

Secondly, the stuff here were so nice that they let me stay at lobby room till the time of my bus to La Paz at 10:30pm. We absolutely loved our three nights at Hotel Cayara. Staying at this beautiful, historic hacienda was a highlight of our trip. We would love to come back. We enjoyed wandering around the gardens and took a hike past the waterfall to what is called the "city of rocks." It was absolutely beautiful. The location is very peaceful and serene. I absolutely look forward to returning. The breakfast was a nice spread, with fresh eggs and homemade cheese. We had dinner at the hacienda two nights, everything was delicious. The staff went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. We recommend taking the museum tour of the house, and we learned it has so many interesting historical objects and seeing the older rooms and library was a treat. This is a very very special place. We took a day trip to Potosi. We took a city tour and asked to go to the entrance of a mine, without going in. It was very interesting learning the important history of Potosi and Cayara!
