Set in Santa Teresa Beach, Surf Paradise offers beachfront accommodation 400 metres from Santa Teresa Beach and offers various facilities, such as a garden and a terrace. It’s not often you stay at a place and feel instantly at home. The magic of this place hits you the moment you walk through the door. It’s the warmest welcome. They are so much more than a hostel/hotel. It’s family. It’s friendship. It’s community. Staying here in paradise was a magical experience for me. I loved my private room with a kitchen, planted back yard and private shower. The AC must have been be brand new, it was heavenly. They offer free coffee in the day (that’s right FREE in Costa Rica) which is a nice touch. It certainly nursed me through a few difficult mornings. There’s a communal area where people get together/work on their laptops/and have meals and social time in the evening. I don’t surf, but the space was respectful to those who get up to catch the early waves too. It’s in a great spot, close to a supermarket and a close walk to all the decent bars and cafes. It’s the perfect location actually. Nothing is too much for these guys. They put their heart and soul into the place and that’s why it’s so awesome. I don’t think I would have enjoyed Santa Teresa half as much if I had stayed anywhere else. If you’re looking for super chilled vibes, Surf Paradise is where you need to be. I smiled all the way through writing this review. You won’t forget your experience at this special place.

Situated in Herradura, 500 metres from Playa Herradura, Paradise Bay Hotel Boutique features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace. Lovely hotel just outside Jaco. Takes around 10 minutes drive. A 10 minute walk will get you to the beach where there’s a selection of lovely restaurants to choose from. Rooms are lovely clean and very modern. The breakfast is really good quality and a great selection.

Located in Dominical, 1.9 km from Dominical Beach, Bamboo River House and Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The place itself is very clean and tidy. You really feel at home and cozy. The terrace is incredible. Its big and has multiple couches and tables for any activity (eat/work/chill), hammock - all that overlooking the pool and beatifull surroundings. It has lights and power sockets there as well as a ceiling fan, so you can really be there any time of the day. An excellent opportunity to spot some animals and birds right by your house. We even had baby birds being born on the terrace during our stay. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. The only place that actually had it all. Pool temperature was perfect, one of the best we had in 3 month travel. And generally built comfortably with sitting area, deep area and a shallow, really nice. Has pool beds and hammock by the side of the pool with tables. Also it closes pretty late compared to other hotels (20 or 22 dont actually remember the exact time but it was late enough). The place is surrounded by beautiful high bamboo trees upfront, green mountain litteraly on the bedroom side and a lot of green big trees in which you could spot a lot of things. We happen to see toucans, squirrels and other diferents colorful birds, even Macau passing by. And at night its a symphony of sounds. The host, RJ, was really nice and polite, came to greet us at our arrival, suggested upfront an early checkin without us even asking and was okay with a late check-out. Recommended a good places to eat and to get a drink. Road to the place is about 5 min on gravel , but alongside a beatifuly running river between the green trees. 5 min drive theres stores, supermarket, restaurants and bars. 20min drive to Uvita.

The room was newly furnished and clean. The bathroom was really nice. The lobby and restaurant are comfortable. There is free parking in front of the hotel and it takes 5-10 minutes to get to the national park entrance along paved roads.

Situated in Tarcoles, 400 metres from Tarcoles Beach, Akua Suites Ocean View features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Amazing villas with an even better view. We stayed here for one night and the hotel helped us arrange a ride to the San Jose airport for the following morning. Everything was smooth. Only thing I might yeild if you do stay there is the town that is walkable did not seem very tourist friendly
