Hotel und Restaurant Bühlhaus is situated only a 3-minute walk from the Badegarten sauna theme park and is surrounded by the Erzgebirge mountains and forests. A breakfast buffet is also provided. I loved the location, right outside town so nature was all around. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The food in the restaurant was excellent and we ate in both nights. They even cooked goat cheese which I brought with me, because we don't have it in my country. They have a beautiful outside space to eat but it was too cold for us to sit there in the evening. However it is a great place for lunch or afternoon coffee. The atmosphere is more of a warm home than an impersonal hotel.

Hotel Freyhof is set in Freiberg, 300 metres from Mittelsächsisches Theater. Every room has a flat-screen TV. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. First of all, there is parking right behind the hotel, which is a huge plus. Free from Saturday from 2 pm until Monday morning. (Stand February 2024). When we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly lady. She explained everything to us and off we went to our room. We had a lovely family room, which was extremely clean and smelled lovely. The beds are very comfortable. I wish I had read the part before where it says I could have asked for another pillow. Well I know for the next time. We even got a little chocolate on our pillow and water as a welcome (again, stand 2024). Breakfast was beautiful. The most amazing selection of anything your heart desires. We will definitely return. Freiberg is a beautiful little town, and this hotel is right in the center and walking distance from all the sights. The view from the hotel windows is also breathtaking.

Great location right on the cross-country skiing, hiking and biking trails. Nice restaurant, very good breakfast and modern regional cuisine. Very friendly staff. World famous owner.

This hotel enjoys a central yet peaceful location in Chemnitz, just a short stroll from the city centre and the main railway station. The staff were genuinely helpful. We turned up at 9.45 on a Saturday night and the chef made a plate of vegetables for my slightly fussy wife! The room was huge, and had lots of quirky, tasteful touches. Everything was well thought out. My one suggestion would be to change the name: "boarding-house" in English sounds cheap and a bit tacky, and this was anything but. Recommended.
