Perfect spot for a solo traveler who's looking for a quiet and friendly place. Not too central but then again depends on what you call central. especially in a place like Winterberg. Anyway, hopefully will go back there again and to stay exactly in this hotel. The whole experience was quite indescribable. Extra recommended if you know a few words of German yet still would like to feel welcomed:)

Situato nei pressi della città di Schmallenberg, all'interno del Parco Naturale di Rothaargebirge, il 4 stelle Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese, a conduzione familiare, offre camere eleganti, una piscina coperta... I booked late and arrived late after a 14km hike! The kitchen was already closed, but they still made me a light meal! Ibwas only there for one night, but everything looked so good and the people were very helpful! The breakfast was very good, but as i've been to many hotels, the breakfast was standard for that kind of pricerange, so that's still excelent but not different. It might be because i chose the stirred eggs and bacon with herbs mixed in(so not very local). The outside was very nice and clean! Eventough they(landscapers) were working outside my window i only noticed when i opened the windows. So even for a short stay this was worth the max amount of stars!
