Offering a garden and a sun terrace, Pension Waldhäusl is quietly located in Bad Schandau, just a 6-minute drive from the River Elbe. Lovely idyllic hotel with a truly personal welcome and service. The building oozes character and charm: bedrooms modern, perfect size and facilities. Great breakfast. Dinners which can be had if pre-ordered are superb. The hotel is just above the road, which itself is quiet. Footpaths into the woods and mountains within a couple of minutes. Located just outside Bad Schandau, a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by the famous tram which stops outside (bus also, but why use this!) We had no car, only used public transport, or walked - it was perfect. There is so much to see and do in and around Bad Schandau, and this is the perfect hotel to base yourself.

Quietly located in the heart of Wehlen's historic center, the Wehlener Hof is just 328 feet from the banks of the Elbe River. It offers hearty buffet breakfasts, garden with a terrace and a bar. A charming little hotel at the central square of Wehlen, the location couldn't be better, you can find pretty much everything the town has offer just around the corner. The train station is on the other side of the Elbe, but there is an excellent ferry service that gets you over the river in 2 min, there is practically no waiting time as the service is "on demand", and once you get off the ferry, the hotel is just another 2 min walk away. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, you can see that they love what they are doing. The breakfast had an incredible variety of some really creative homemade marmalades, four days weren't enough for us to try them all. Our room had a spacious bathroom and a large terrace.

I would happily have stayed much longer than the 5 days I was there as the city of Pirna has a lot to offer. It is only a 20 minute train ride to Dresden and only 20 minutes to Bad Schandau and the Saxon Switzerland national park. The owners were very attentive to our needs. Wifi worked well. I recommend this apartment highly

We stayed in 3-bedroom apartment with kitchen. the apartment was very clean, cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with the dishwasher. The breakfast was good and nourishing. The location of the hotel is just perfect to explore this part of Saxon Switzerland - 10 min. to walk to the tram that brings you to Lichtenhainer Wasserfall and a road to Kuhstall, 5 min to walk to Toskana Therme, 5 min to walk to ferry station.

Very spacious and clean apartment. Can easily accommodate 6 people (it was just 3 of us). Kitchen is very well equipped. Looks better in reality than in pictures. We especially liked the paintings of the local places of interest. Bad Shandau with its shops, restaurants and wellness centre is within walking distance, though we preferred going by bike. A perfect place from where to explore Saxon Switzerland.

Even though I really hated climbing all those stairs, this cozy apartment was totally worth it! It made my trip in Saxon Switzerland a blast! Located in the heart of Pirna, it is just a short walk to the train station, supermarket and eateries. Loved the balcony, I had breakfast there everyday. The skylight right above the bed is awesome too, I literally fell as sleep watching the stars!

Everything was PERFECT, my husband and I loved it! The city is incredibly romantic, close to the Bastei Brücke trail. The staff was really nice, the room was beautiful, and the installations incredible. We used the sauna every evening and it was really nice to relax after so much walking. I have to say the breakfast was great, but the dinner in the restaurant was extraordinary! We also brought our corgi puppy and it went very well.
