Very friendly staff, very big room and balcony. There was an issue with the TV that couldn't be fixed during our stay, which prompted an invitation to a drink with the hosts. The on-site pool is sizeable. The hosts have put a great deal of effort into creating the feel of a rustic yet luxurious tropical cabin and have succceeded admirably.

Wi-Fi is free and El Murciélago Beach is 100 metres away.... We have stayed in one of the Balandra bungalows previously and my wife and I really like them. The breakfast included in the room rate is very, very good and we looked forward to it each morning. The pool isn't very big but it's always been impeccably clean and the pool is heated, which I particularly like. The Balandra always has plenty of hot water for showers which can be an issue in Ecuador.
