Situated in Mengibar, 26 km from Jaén Train Station, HOTEL PALACIO DE MENGIBAR features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Location is right in the main square of Mengibar. Very close to the Jaen, Ubeda and Baeza. It’s literally a former palace. The food in the restaurant is also delicious. For its price, I dont think I have stayed in such a nice hotel.

This beautiful 17th-century building is located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Úbeda, next to Santa Clara Convent. Its elegant rooms feature free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. The staff were all absolutely lovely..warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious….not a buffet but freshly prepared and brought to the table. My room was rustic but very comfortable, and the location was ideal…walkable to everything . I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Carmen Boutique is a four stars acommodation that blends a historical 19th-century building with contemporary minimalist design. The hotel was very comfortable, with a king-size bed and huge 55 in TV. All the staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The pool was extremely welcome after wandering the streets in the summer heat. Breakfast was delightful. Highly recommend staying here.

Nestled in Andalusia’s mountainous countryside and surrounded by forest and with a great outdoor pool and private lake, this rustic retreat is the perfect country getaway. If you want to get away close to nature then this is a good spot. It has a Hunting lodge style with a good restaurant and bar beside a large veranda where you can watch the scenery, have a glass of wine and listen to nature. Rooms are rustic and comfortable. We had a small balcony to let us sit and watch over the valley. Staff are all very nice and cheerful. We had a half board package at a very reasonable price. The menu selection was good as was the food. Portions were very generous. There's a pack of tame geese to provide some entertainment and amusement when they go on parade around the artificial lake. You can travel to local nature spots but we just went on the local walk along the bank of the Guadalquivir. We saw some deer, jays, nutthatch, crossbills and terrapins. We could hear green woodpeckers calling but didn't get a glimpse. We only stayed two nights but there seems to be plenty to see for a longer trip. The views on the drive from Cordoba were pretty spectacular. It's a typical mountain drive with a good surface but a winding road with a long climb. The parking there is fine. We didn't use the pool but it looked good. The drive North along the river towards Murcia is pleasant also. So a very enjoyable stopover.

Location, location, location :-) Also, the hotel inside was very nice, the room was cozy and clean … with a nice view from the balcony. Breakfast was very good, also the restaurant for dinner. The way to 2 main sights in Jaén - the castle and the view from the mountain- are within a 5 minute walk.

Set within Las Sierras Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Nature Reserve, Coto del Valle de Cazorla is 3 km outside Arroyo Frío. It offers a spa and a peaceful setting close to the Guadalquivir River. Sijainti loistava, paikka viihtyisä, henkilökunta todella mukavaa ja avuliasta vaikka yhteiatä kieltä ei juuri löytynyt. Ravintola ylitti odotukseni.
