Hotel Santuari is located in the Catalan town of Balaguer, some 20 km from Lleida. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free internet access, as well as wonderful countryside views. We arrived a bit late and tired and were welcomed by very kind staff. The room was simple and very clean, the beds comfortable and it was completely silent, it was so restful. We were served a traditional light breakfast for Good Friday of thick warm chocolate and cake slices that was so good! We also got to watch some marching drummers dressed as soldiers who had marched up from town and back down again.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, La Casa Del Miracle is an apartment set in a historic building in Balaguer, 26 km from Lleida Train Station. It’s even more beautiful than in the photo’s. We stayed on the third floor and had a terrace with a view over the town, and it was the most beautiful thing ever. Nothing is missing, there was wine, coffee, and tea for free. The host goes out of her way to make the stay perfect. Also, the breakfast in the morning was delicious.
