Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. The Parador is exceptional !!! The bar in the bodega and the wellness center with sauna, jacuzzi was a great surprise. The staff at the reception were very kind.

Located 24 miles from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, POSADA EL ARRIERO offers 2-star accommodations in Torrejón el Rubio and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Excellent traditional Posada. Family-run. Room was very clean and in spite of cold weather (December), the heater worked very well. Plenty of blankets, comfortable bed. Great shower. The traditional food was excellent, local and the portions were huge, including the breakfast. Friendly reception. Perfect location for visiting Monfragüe, and the village is interesting to wander through. Free parking next to the Posada.

Hospederia Parque de Monfragüe is set in the heart of Extremadura, between the historic cities of Plasencia, Trujillo and Cáceres. loved the architecture and the birds. will be back!!!!

Located in Plasencia, 24 miles from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, Hospedium Hotel Doña Mafalda de Castilla has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The young lady which attended to us was very pleasant and did here best, however the language was a factor too.
