Located on the Ile d’Oleron, the Hotel Île De Lumière offers direct access to the beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and many other facilities. We had a spacious room, with a large confortable bed, high ceilings, exceptionally clean. We loved being at the ocean, gaving our own space outdoors to enjoy the view. Breakfast was great, hotel has a lovely pool. One of the best small hotels I’ve stayed at.

We often had the pool to ourselves and there were plenty of sun beds available. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Water in the swimming pool was warm and clean as well. The air conditioner and WiFi worked well. But the best about this hotel is its atmosphere and staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and attention.

The host of the hotel met us and helped us carry our various motorbike bags up to the second floor. The hotel was recently refurbished with excellent taste and attention to details. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic! There was a wonderful choice of breads, croissants, homemade sweet breads, hams, cheeses and more. The bed was comfortable.
