The staff was exceptionally kind, and the service we received from Adeline, Francoise and the room cleaners was just top notch. The breakfast was fantastic every day, with fresh pastries and fruit and, my favorites, yogurt and panna cotta! Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day. The little bar was wonderful to have and the location was beautiful and couldn't be beat. I highly recommend Hotel du Golfe!

U Fiordalisu has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bastelica. This was truly one of the nicest BnBs we have ever stayed at! A really exceptional place, with lovely views, and obviously created with a lot of care and thoughtfulness, as well as a beautiful and tasteful aesthetic. Claudia could not have been a kinder nor more accommodating host, and we felt very well taken care of. Extras like a sauna (which I wish I'd had time to use!) and the freestanding bathtub were appreciated touches (and great to have after a hike). There is a lot to see - and taste - in Bastelica, and it's well worth the trip. On top of that, the restaurant was a real treat (wholesome, predominantly locally-sourced, and a nice balance between feeling casual and high-end). The wine list was small but well-curated, and we had some cracking bottles during our stay. (Thank you so much for everything, Claudia! We'll be back :) )

Le Grecale is a confidential hotel in the heart of the maquis. Located in Pianottoli-Caldarello, close to Figari airport, Le Grecale is an ideal hotel for making the most of your stay in Corsica. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Le Grecale. This is quiet place where birds are chirping and it is possible to relax in jacuzzi. The beach - Plage de San Giovani, shop and airport are accessible in less than 15 minutes by car from here. Accommodation is very good: comfortable and clean; nice and hospitable receptionist spoke in English. The device for brewing coffee and tea, towels, cosmetics, bathrobe and slippers and inviting mineral water (free of charge) are available in the room. The bed was really great. We will come here when visiting Corsica again.

Located on a pedestrianized street in the port of Porto Ota, La Calypso is a small hotel only 5 minutes' walk from the departure point for local boat trips. Fabulous location, right on the port. Not for disabled as only steps. Very busy Port with tourists getting on their tour boats so lots to watch if you’re feeling lazy. A little noisy with early leavers but so close it all balances out. Fabulous restaurant immediately next door and bars everywhere. €10 for breakfast which was okay.

An idyllic location right on a wonderful beach around the picturesque Golfe de Santa Giulia. Staff were lovely, accommodating but efficient without exception, our room was perfect with all facilities and a view over the sea from its roomy, private terrace. Breakfast and dinner were very good in the super restaurant. We booked the stay very late due to the last-minute cancellation of our (Moby) ferry from Bonifacio but this hotel certainly made up for our disappointment; more so because they kindly allowed us to use their facilities until our re-scheduled departure the next evening.

This was our third stay. Everything that we wanted; quiet, calm although we decided to go close to the end of the season when I feel that the island must be very busy. Expensive but exclusive - apologies if that sounds snobbish - and I think that is also a huge draw for some. Main residents and visitors are Italian and French. The staff are amazing and I really want to highlight those who took particular care of us - Joe from Sardinia, Victor from Monpelier, Luca from Rome and the lovely lovely Barbera our wonderful house keeper. They made everything so much better - if that were possible. This place is our idea of paradise.
