Extraordinary, romantic hotel, unexpectedly beutiful in rather remote location. Very nicely renovated, rooms decorated tastfully and comfortably arranged. I had even kitchenette in my room! Beautiful though small garden in the front of the hotel makes it even more romantic. There is also access to the spa but I did not have time to benefit from it.

The original monastery was built in the 11th century and sections of the original building and adjacent chapel/church remain. Restaurant is of Michelin star quality with an incredible tasting menu.

I was walking the Chemin St Jacques (started a couple days before) and had hurt my leg. I stayed in the hotel for three nights to try to get better. The people there were extremely sympathetic and helpful. Very kind. My room was nice and warm and very quiet, so I got good rest. I am definitely going to try the walk again sometime and I will go back to this hotel.

La maison d'hotes sì trova immerso in un paesaggio stupendo, vicino a Condom nel Gers. Il posto è strategico per visitare questa parte di Francia. Elizabeth è una padrona di casa gentilissima, la colazione alla francese ottima anche con marmellate fatte in casa. Anche i gatti sono molto simpatici.

When I arrived at reception, my host was courteous, efficient and extremely helpful. The hotel is situated in a wooded area about 50 metres off the main Tarbres route. It was quiet and the view stunning. At breakfast I was attended to by an extremely pleasant and helpful member of staff. Although, only an overnight, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The area is beautiful, the hosts are lovely and the cabins are great. Everything we needed was supplied and available. Unfortunatley it was cold and wet when we stayed but we were still very comfortable as there is heating and extra bedding.

We had a lovely time at Chateau de Barbet. We were obviously staying out of season but still really enjoyed our time The house was well equipped and just what we needed. My daughter really enjoyed the trampoline that was in the garden of the house we were allocated. The pool was really warm although also very deep! Staff were friendly and helpful and we were grateful of the early check in.

Fantastic facilities pool, tennis court. Pool large and very clean, plenty of sunbeds and parasols. You could order on a blackboard bread/pastries for the next day which was so useful.
