Lovely stay in Cambo-les-Bains, out of the hustle and bustle of the beautiful Basque coast. The hotel was clean and quiet; it is above a "cafe" but it is not open in the evening. Our room had a nice full terrace to enjoy a bit of the local ambience and morning sunshine. Lots of nice restaurants in the town, but we arrived without a reservation on Valentine's Day (silly!) and happily made a picnic from the local cheese shop, Basque specialty store and small bio store. Very peaceful. We have lived in the area and I would highly recommend it for a touristic stay in the region, good proximity to the villages, but a bit more serene than staying on the coast. And I really love the coast!

Zero stairs from the entrance to the room: 1,2,7&8 share that feature. The staff managed to transform a hotel that usually had a beach feel to a cozy holiday chalet virtually overnight. The location was fantastic right in front of the sea in front of the main promenade. Our room was amazing with a huge balcony an sun loungers overlooking the pool with an amazing view of Hondarriba in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We did not eat in the hotel as we decided to get a water taxi for €2.30 each across to Hondarriba which was buzzing with atmosphere and plenty of gastronomical delights to choose from. We really enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool which was included in our room price. This was amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have as long as we wanted here as the hotel receptionist on the morning of departure could strangely only organise our taxi for a certain early time although we requested it after check our time so we could fully avail of the Thalassotherapy pool. We thought that she could have been a bit more helpful as the staff on the previous day were extremely nice and understanding and helpful. The hotel breakfast buffet breakfast was quite pricey for us, even the cheaper option of the coffee/croissant was €8 but there are plenty of cafes nearby to choose from. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

The location is absolutely exceptional . It has two really nice swimming pools in front of the ocean and direct acces to the beach. It is a wonderful setting. However it could stand improvements in the room and the quality of the buffet, they are not 4 star quality

There are some very nice details of the apartment, but some parts still need renovation. It was better than I expected based on the reviews. Comfortable, well-equipped. Very nice helpful staff, great pool. Comfortable big bed, I was very happy with the many pillows.
