Hôtel Soleil des Neiges is situated in the centre of Sauze, 2.76 km from Barcelonnette. It features an indoor swimming pool and a restaurant with a terrace facing the slopes. Comfortable room, fantastic food, they even made me a special salad as I’m vegetarian. Very helpful staff, it’s like staying at a friends house. Great location too. One of the hotels I’d be very happy to come back too especially as the indoor pool is a great way to relax at the end of the day. A

Located 3 km from Barcelonnette, Les Flocons is just 150 metres from ski lifts in Le Sauze Ski Resort. It offers a bar, a games room and free WiFi in public areas. Very nice comfort stay for 2 nights ,great food, garage for bikes.

Located in Jausiers, 10 km from the ski resort of Sauze, this hotel with a garden lies at an altitude of 1225 meters. Clean, very friendly staff, they care about your well being. Breakfast and dinner were very good (with high quality ham for breakfast).

Located in the Sauze ski resort, Hôtel l'Équipe has free private parking (free access) and is 6 km from Barcelonnette. Friendly staff, extremely comfortable beds, overlooking the slopes. The fondue was great and breakfast was adequate.

Hotel de la Placette is located in the Old Town of Barcelonnette, 2.5 km from Mercantour National Park. It offers modern rooms and free WiFi access. Charming, family-owned hotel, within the pedestrian area in the heart of Barcelonette. The room was smaller than some, but was clean and centrally heated, with a very comfortable bed, an impeccable bathroom, and room for my dog's bed too. Very quiet at night, so slept soundly. The owner was very welcoming, both when we arrived in the evening just as he was closing up the bar on the ground floor and in the morning, when we had a coffee downstairs before leaving.

With the Ubaye Mountains as a backdrop, La Grande Epervière is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Barcelonnette. It is also next to the Mercantour National Park and the Praloup ski resort. Great location, easy access to free parking. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
